I was there for a meeting about a local charity. I ordered an ice tea with lemon. I drank it and the waiter asked if I wanted a refill. She took my glass. When she returned it was full to the top with ice that left room for only a few ounces of tea. I sent it back asking for a more reasonable amount of ice. That was brought to me without apology. When the bill came it was $9 before tip. I asked why so much, she said I had ordered two glasses of tea! For $9, I can purchase six gallons of tea at any Santa Fe market. For $4.50 you have lost a customer who almost lived there and brought friends when Doug Montgomery was playing. BTW...the new piano and the player suck!!!

We like this place for quiet music. This trip we went on an off night and the music was not to our liking. But we recommend the venue. Great atmosphere.

Last Saturday night we celebrated my husband's 80th birthday. I called and spoke with Ricardo Gutierrez about our wish to make this a memorable event. He could not have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with, sending me sample menus and tolerating my changes and many questions. He and the staff went out of their way to make the dinner party a success - providing several shiny balloons proclaiming happy 80th birthday and even making 2 birthday cakes, which were very good by the way, one to eat there and one to take home. The price fix menu provided great selections and the food was very good and reasonably priced. A good time was had by all.

We enjoyed Vanessie, they offered a pre fix dinner app through desert for a reasonable price and very good/ excellent . We we're there on a Sunday night and it was pretty quiet but a great piano player who was super nice.

They are getting their feet back under them after being closed for a bit. But it was a fun filled atmosphere with a gentleman playing guitar. Everyone was on top of service.

An asset to Santa Fe. The food is is fantastic and the owner and chef didn't mind that we came in a little late after a long flight and a hard day. Recommend highly.

The good: hotel location, room size, bed comfort, and bathroom size. The bad: $30 resort fee when there are no resort amenities No restaurant, no bar, no pool, nothing associated with a resort property. Also, learned by experience that you have to request maid service. They should have mentioned this at check in. The ugly: we had no power in half the room and realized it when we returned after dinner. Office was vacant and locked but there was a phone number for after-hour support. Unfortunately, no one answered it and voice mail was FULL! While I was trying to jam a note expressing my irritation at having no tv, no heat, and limited lighting into the office door, a guy walked around the corner. I asked him if he worked there and he said yes. I told him my problem and fully expressed my irritation at the voicemail/phone situation. He told me to “be more Godly” (NOT kidding). When I stared at him, incredulous, he told me to be nicer. He did flip the circuit breaker and fix my problem. He never apologized for the problem or the lack of attention to the after hours phone line. I later learned he was the manager, Mark. I’m still flabbergasted.

The Fénix is a classic. What a treat to go to the piano bar. Make sure you reserve in advance. It gets busy quickly. Cheers!

We've eaten here a number of times, usually when visiting in the winter. We most recently ate here in late February, while some COVID protocols were still in effect. We were disappointed to find the menu shortened and revised to the point of exasperation versus what we've seen on prior visits. What was available was straightforward and savory without any particularly outstanding features. Now that Doug Montgomery has retired, we'll have to look more closely for a new menu before visiting again.

We went a couple of weeks ago with a party of six. All of the local advertising says “no cover” but there is a $10 cover. I called to tell them they needed to update the cover charge but so far, that has not happened. Please - get this changed! That said, the music was nice enough but this is not a typical piano bar. It’s more like a lounge show. We were looking for something a little more “hopping” - this was not it.

Fantastic evening at Vanessie. The piano player Doug was amazing and played a variety of music. Nice selection of dinner and drinks. Definitely try the Onion Loaf.

I wish I had stayed at least one more night to enjoy this place more. Nicco, the GM was fantastic, I loved his professionalism and sweet demeanor that immediately made us feel at home. He is amazing! The room was fabulous, the bed was all I could ask for in this life. Yes, five stars and I would just love to live there. Thank you ?

This is a nice place for a date or group of friends to go to for good food and fun. The piano player was great and the interactive group was fun. Will go again.

We came on two different nights for glasses of wine and music. Can't really comment on the food since we didn't order any, but our wine was good. The first night we heard Blue Rhapsody with keyboard, drums, and vocalist. On our second visit we heard Al Rogers on piano and vocal. Both nights were very enjoyable but we enjoyed the evening with Al Rogers the most. He was really engaging with the audience and an amazing pianist and vocalist. This is a great place to visit if you want to enjoy a few hours of good music while enjoying dinner or a drink.
