Walter Burke did a phenomenal job of setting up and breaking down our wedding at the New Mexico Museum of Art, which simplified our lives significantly. Their food was a hit with the guests and we can strongly recommend them for your wedding too.

Where do I even begin? I reached out to Walter Burke just 32 days before a two day outdoor wedding weekend, needing to make a last minute change of caterer, a difficult and emotional decision, to say the least. Planning a wedding is such a delicate process, and navigating unexpected changes is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
From the moment I contacted WB, I was connected with Angela, who truly lives up to her name. With the grace of an angel and the professionalism of someone who fully understands the complexities of events like this, she immediately reassured me that there was availability and everything would be taken care of.
Working with the WB team was an absolute dream. The planning process was seamless, and their flexibility, understanding, and eagerness to help made everything feel easier than I ever imagined. When the wedding weekend arrived, their execution was flawless, from the perfectly timed setup to the friendly and professional service, all the way to a cleanup so smooth it was like watching ninjas at work.

Our wedding was an unforgettable celebration of love, laughter, and incredible food, thanks to the extraordinary talents of Walter Burke. Angela and their team went above and beyond to create a menu that reflected our love for bold flavors and Southwestern cuisine that was new and exciting for our guests. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the wait staff was incredibly professional. And let's not forget about the wedding cake - it was truly a work of art and tasted even better! Not only was it visually stunning, but it was also incredibly flavorful. Many guests said it was the best wedding cake they've tasted. Beyond the amazing food and cake, Walter Burke provided impeccable service from start to finish. They were responsive, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. We rented all of the tables, linens, and glassware, which helped keep our day extra smooth. I hired Walter Burke to cater our wedding. Words can not explain how impressed we were with this company! Angela was so easy and willing to provide me with everything I asked for. Angela really alleviated the stress that comes with wedding planning. When the day came I was astonished on how professional the staff who was with us at my event was! Everyone did a spectacular job! The food was amazing, the service was impeccable! I will forever be grateful for everyone involved! Thank you Walter Burke for making our special day a dream come true!

Walter Burke did an outstanding job catering our wedding this past spring in Santa Fe, NM. They knew our venue (El Rey Court) well and everything went seamless for set up to clean up. We felt like we had a lot of options and flexibility when it came to the menu, and our dinner menu perfectly reflected our vision of a southwest farm-to-table vibe. We decided to forego a wedding cake and do a big mix of mini desserts instead and it was such a hit! We included classics like cream puffs, tarts and whoopie pies, and they even included locally-inspired options pinon-flavored treats and Mexican wedding cookies - our guests really raved about the dessert table!I'd also like to note that the staff was also so kind and helpful throughout the evening as well. They even made sure to pull me and my husband aside with a plate of all our hors d'evours during cocktail hour to be sure we didn't miss out on all the amazing bites! So appreciated!

We were very fortunate to work with Walter Burke for our wedding at Ghost Ranch on 9/8/23. They were a class act all around! Angela was extremely responsive (very important when planning a destination wedding in particular!) and great at making suggestions when we were lost on what foods to provide for our guests or how many drinks we would need. She was patient as we made changes to our meal options and lagged on decisions about our rentals. The staff day-of was absolutely top-notch - this was the definition "not their first rodeo." I was nervous because the venue is very remote, but they arrived on time and worked great with our other vendors and our coordinator to make sure the reception looked amazing (we rented chairs, linens, china, and flatware, and they were all high-quality).We got a variety of small passed appetizers that were fresh and delicious, and a meal of New Mexican comfort food that left everyone full and happy. Henry, Barbara, Wanda, and the other fantastic staff made sure we were fed first and that our glasses were always full, and our guests mentioned they were impressed and felt well taken care of. Not to mention, the staff seemed genuinely excited for us and were just so friendly. This company is very organized and we can't recommend them enough!

They were organized, communicated effectively, and were always prompt in their responses. We can't thank them enough for their exceptional service and delicious food. From the appetizers to the main course, each dish was beautifully presented and tasted divine. One thing that stood out was Walter Burke’s willingness to accommodate our specific requests. Whether it was dietary restrictions or special menu items, they handled everything with grace and professionalism.

Wow! Where do I begin!? I agree with previous comments: from the beginning Angela was responsive, helpful (even giving me tips that I had not thought of!), and professional. The staff that came to the Wedding Reception (Eduardo, Barbara, Kat, Val, and all the others) were beyond incredible: they were handed a difficult situation when my rental company did not arrive and they absolutely stepped in and saved the day! I will never be able to thank them enough!!! Besides going above and beyond at every step, the food was amazing and I had many local guests ask me for the caterers name/info because they were all so impressed. Eduardo was the most amazing captain and took care of me all night. Wow, just wow. If I could give them 10 out of 5 stars, I would! THANK YOU!!!

Walter Burke catered our wedding reception and did a fantastic job. From the beginning, Angela with Walter Burke was exceptionally professional, responsive, and helpful. She even helped us adjust our menu last minute when we realized we had a guest with a severe food allergy. Walter Burke handled both food and decor at our reception and we were blown away by both. Several of our guests commented on how great the food was. We strongly recommend Walter Burke to anyone looking for a caterer in the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area.

WBC did an amazing job for our wedding! They are so efficient and experienced. One of those things you don't want to be worried about and I was not! We were so happy with the service and they easily accommodated for 2 vegetarian options. We used their rentals and those were great as well. We were on the budget friendly side and I don't have any complaints and think everything still looked great

We would give 10 stars if we could!!! We picked walter burke because of the very good pricing and excellent reviews, and we could not have gotten better service. They catered our 8/7 wedding, which was a destination wedding for us. Even though we did not meet in person beforehand, they were so helpful, even going so far as to help us figure out table arrangements as they had catered our venue before. Day of, they showed up on time, had 1 conversation with my husband, and we did not have to think about anything after that! They got everything ready and beautifully set up, plus all the servers were incredibly kind, and, of course, great food. Thank you walter burke for making our big day that much better!!

We booked Walter Burke catering for our 7-27 wedding at a home in Taos. It was an intimate dinner experience and we could not have been happier with our experience. From beginning to end, it was by far our best vendor selection. Angela was extremely responsive and put together an amazing menu knowing I came from catering background in Dallas. The staff that showed up day of to execute was perfection! Presentation and taste were everything! The EVOO lavender honeysuckle cake was the cherry on top to our perfect evening and experience with Walter Burke catering. Book them for your next event and you won’t regret it!

Walter Burke catered our wedding and it was hands down the best catered food I’ve ever had. They were so amazing to work with throughout the planning process, putting together a menu that reflected exactly what we envisioned for the wedding day. We also rented glassware, flatware, etc. from them and it was all beautiful and very easy to coordinate. The staff that worked our wedding was amazing, and the bartender always had a glass of prosecco waiting for my new husband and me :) We primarily worked with Alexandra and she was so kind and professional throughout the whole process. We felt very lucky to have Walter Burke cater our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone we know!

Walter Burke recently catered our wedding and did an outstanding job. Alexandra is so wonderful to work with, she was incredibly helpful in helping us to manage the entire process, creating a specialized menu, and coordinating assistance with set up at the venue. Tia, our catering captain, was also incredible. She was prepared, organized and hands on in helping to ensure we had the best service. Tia went above and beyond helping us with venue set up, decorated our cake beautifully and was so kind. I felt so relieved after our final walkthrough after talking with Tia and had full confidence that she would take care of everything, and she did not disappoint! In addition to the food itself being great (including vegan options!) the service, staff and bartenders were amazing as well. We loved working with Walter Burke and couldn't have asked for a more positive and comfortable experience.
