Zacatlan is an amazing restaurant that offers a superb dining experience. The food is inventive and high-quality, with abundant and interesting vegetarian options. The menu features a range of delectable dishes, including the falling off the bone lamb shank barbacoa, cochinita pibil, and branzino al pastor. The daily special squash blossom appetizer was phenomenal and the mole poblano was so good. For dessert, the bread pudding tamales with saffron ice cream is a perfect ending.
The restaurant is a hidden gem and a favorite in Santa Fe. The service is informative, well-timed, and congenial. Portions are perfect. The creative margaritas and the house sangria are excellent. Zacatlan defines true México City-style cuisine, with each course prepared and executed flawlessly. The noise level can be high, but the overall experience is memorable, delighting with its inventive cuisine and welcoming atmosphere.
