I grew up in Texas and frequent Mexico often...I love Mexican food, but Chicos is ABSOLUTELY the most delicious Mexican food I've ever had in my LIFE! HANDS DOWN! Had guacamole, incredible salsa, chicken enchiladas with verde sauce and it was a spiritual experience!?

Such a cute place! Everything is homemade!! They even sell trinkets from Mexico which made me feel at home. Definitely a must stop if you come through Santa Rosa/NM.
4 p.m. Sunday. Service was below average. Only one other table besides mine was occupied and the KIDS behind the counter are having their fun while customers wait for service. Food is definitely not anything to talk about. I tried eating here twice and had 2 different meals and I'm not interested in returning. From the reviews I thought I'd be happy and satisfied but I was not!!

Authentic Mexican food! We were happy to have made it about 1/2 hr prior to closing, but the staff was happy to seat us and the food came quickly, hot and delicious. The restaurant is large and accessible. Very comfortable and clean, perfect for a stop at the end of a long drive. Plenty of parking.
Im glad I popped in because food was great but the red salsa was expired and I kinda poured it all over my food and I ruined it and then left right after I noticed it, I was in a hurry. :( but Karen was super nice and I loved how accommodating she was :)

Food was mediocre, enchiladas was still cold ,Nachos very little beef, we had to go to receptionist to ask for tortillas for our fajitas,waitress never refilled our chips and salsa .Never been to a restaurant who charged for water .

We arrived at 9:30 am... bad service, not good and expensive food, I asked them for chips and they said they are not served until after 12 and if you want me to bring you I will charge you, my husband ordered tongue tacos and I left them, that's it. restaurant we will not return.
