I pulled into Santa Rosa about 30 minutes before they were closing and ordered the enchiladas with green chili to go to take back to the hotel. The green sauce was really good and spicy. The refried beans were also pretty good. Glad I found this place after a long day of traveling.
Honestly, this restaurant was not what I expected. I grew up in southern NM so I expected this restaurant to be more like that, but this restaurant was good in its own way. I had their chicken platter and while I chose not to finish the pepper, shredded lettuce, and raw onion it was a very tasty meal. The server who is the daughter of the owners said they drew their inspiration from the Mexico City area. This is a bit of an expensive restaurant as my meal was $20, but the service...
I had 2 Street Tacos and they were very good (asada and barbocoa). Chips and salsa were also very good. I had to have a taste of the beans that came with my husband's dish...SO TASTY!
