“We ended up eating here twice over a long weekend. Heading to and back from Cloudcroft. This is the real deal diner experience and I applaud the ownership for not changing a thing. When you got perfection, why change it? Huge menu of tasty delights. Go for the guacamole and chips. We enjoyed lunch time salads and killer huevos racheros for breakfast. Service is personal and professional. Check out the bar/lounge next door. Looks like a great place to escape the heat and enjoy a cocktail. Nicely done, El Camino.“

“Located just a short drive outside Albuquerque, the Owl Café is a local gem serving up some of the most delicious burgers you'll ever taste. Their cheeseburger, topped with fresh green chilis, strikes the perfect balance of flavor and heat, making it a quintessential New Mexico delight. Steeped in history, this charming café dates to the 1940s and once catered to the scientists of the Manhattan Project – yes, even Oppenheimer's crew likely savored these burgers! Adorned with photos of famous patrons and adorned with dollar bills, the walls tell stories of generosity and community spirit. Each December, these donated dollars go to support both local and national charities (patrons have the opportunity to leave their mark with a personalized note on their donation). Whether you're en route to White Sands National Park or simply craving a taste of authentic New Mexico cuisine, a visit to the Owl Café is an absolute must.“
