Love the decor, food was not good. My taco tasted and looked like it came from Taco Bell, and the beans tasted old and were unseasoned, and rice was overcooked. Chile relleno was soggy and unseasoned. Enchilada tasted like it had been microwaved and was sitting in some weird oil.
This place is now Los Sombreros and I don't know how long it has been open as such. They didn't have an alcohol license as of Sept 2021. My husband had Chile Rellenos and I had Chicken Mole Enchilada. I thought the Mole was fine and my spouse said it was a little too sweet ; we both enjoyed our dishes. They need to do some work on the grounds outside.

We enjoyed our visit to El Sombrero. We were greeted and told to sit where we wanted. What a pleasant experience after a disappointment at Sofia’s, where they wouldn’t seat us. (I’m handicapped, can’t mask, and have service dog that is well behaved and has sat under hundreds of restaurant tables, usually unnoticed except when we enter & leave.)
