We ate here for dinner twice and breakfast once on a weekday ski trip in March 2024 and overall it was fairly disapointing. We were staying at the Blake and there are only a couple other options open on weekdays unfortunately. Service was pretty good, but they were understaffed and only filling about half of the tables with customers. The menu is fairly small, and the pizza oven was broken, so no pizza was available, and each night at least one other entree was not available. Very few dairy free options on the menu, I ended up getting the salmon both nights as the only other entree they can make dairy-free was eggplant which I can't stand. The salmon with mushrooms was good, although it came with squash and there was no option for rice or potatoes instead. The second night I asked for fries instead of the squash (the only other carb they could sub apparently). The fries were good but did not come with a sauce of any sort - the aioli has dairy so I asked for mayo instead, they didn't have mayo so I said ketchup would be fine, but they didn't bring any. with the meal. They also left off the mushrooms so it was literally just a plate with a pile of fries and a piece of salmon wrapped in crispy prosciutto, with no sauce or vegetables of any kind. They did bring me some mushrooms and ketchup but I had to ask for it and it took a while.Wife thought the pastas were a bit disapointing as well. Scallops crudo was just OK, beet salad was good but not great, etc. The servers are doing their best but they need more staff and a larger menu with more options especially for dairy-free/lactose intolerant folks.Breakfast took a while (on a powder day when we wanted to get out on the slopes early) and was pretty disapointing for the prices. We got breakfast burritos at Cid's the second morning and would definitely recommend that over a sit down breakfast at 192.

I have such mixed feelings about this place . I know we will be back, I’m happy they are here and happy they are back to a longer window of being open compared to the last 3 seasons . The complaint has to do with unscrupulous conduct by the restaurant manager ! Our bill was double what we ordered . She came over twice to us. Once informing that we could not order the pasta dish and chicken sandwich. We were there at 3 and they were from the dinner menu at 5. We were given a dinner menu vs Apres. Not a big deal and those things happen . We are waiting on a cookie we ordered and this was delivered at the same time the day before . Than she comes back and states, no skillet cookie- it also is served only after 5. We let her know we were served this the day before at this time - she says she was reprimanded. Okay- we understand . She was the manager - the server/ waiter was trying his best. I gave them a card to close out - bill came out and I felt that the charge seemed abnormally high . I asked for an itemized version. It was double what it should be Then everything collapsed. They had charged us for food not served . The server got in trouble it appeared . Manager was put off by crediting and rerunning the card . I asked what is this issue to manager ? She got extremely defensive and never apologized. She stated she was not aware what happened - huh ? She came and informed us twice that items were not available, we also watched her reluctantly give us a credit and has the audacity to say “she was not aware.” I said we were only looking for an apology- it felt to us she was trying to slip something by us as customers . We have been skiing here regularly since 1982. You have not lost a customer - but training your service staff on service needs to be addressed .

This hotel restaurant is attempting to find its identity and is a hot & cold with its overall performance. We ate there two times during our last trip to Taos Ski Valley. The first time, we had a good experience with good service and food. The rosemary fries and margarita pizza are good. The second time, we were treated like an annoyance because we asked for the kids pasta that is on the menu. I guess the chef did not want to make pasta that day for kiddos. It is one of the nicer and certainly the most expensive restaurant on the mountain.

They do not have a lot of variety in their menu. The pasta was good, but the streak was horrible. It was so fatty, it was almost inedible. They place is really nice, they could step up their menu a bit.

As a local it's a ways to go from town but worth the drive! We've even considered staying the night at the Blake just to enjoy eating there. Last night's special appetizer of a fois gras cone was killer! Creative & delicious!! Half our group ordered pizzas, each one different & they were all happy with their choices. Eggplant & ribeye equally good. Too full for dessert but in the past they've been great too!

Great place to have a meal when in Taos Ski Valley. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich and the kids pizza was great too.Update: we came back for dinner and I just have to rave about the delicious bolognese. We finished it off with a cast iron cookie sundae that was amazing as well.

We had a delicious lunch here on our final day on the slopes. We ordered the burger, two pizzas, Cesar salad, tiramisu and raspberry sherbet. Everything was delicious and we especially liked the pizzas’ crusts. Our waitress from Belarus was very pleasant.

The food has come a long way since I first ate here last winter. I think great service can be hard in the ski valley with the seasonality of employment. Last year the food was mediocre at best, this year it was very good. Come to find out they have a new executive chef from one of my favorite restaurants in Arroyo Seco near by. This new chef clearly made a huge impact as everything was delicious this time around....we all went in with low expectations (didnt know about new chef) and from moment the apps came out we impressed. Tuna carpaccio special was great, great fried chicken, and pastas also were awesome. Service for dinner was pretty decent, the issue is really the BRUTALLY slow breakfast service. Despite the service issues im going to go with 5 stars bc the food was such a huge turnaround from previous years

A little pricey but worth it! You wouldn’t think so but the fried chicken and pork belly are crazy good. Servers and staff are just above amazing!

food was delicious and ambiance was enjoyable. Service was great, however, they were understaffed and with one waiter it took a while to get a bill. The quality of the food was great and would go back. Just wish they had more staff to make the process efficient

We were staying at the Blake and wanted to check out the dinner at 192. My husband and I ordered 2 different salads, & split the fried chicken. All pretty good- and a nice bottle of Italian red.

Food poisoning. A group of seven of us came in to dine in. Two of us ordered a Cesar salad each and split a fried chicken dish. Both became violently ill overnight and in to next day. We have isolated the incident to this restaurant as it was the only food we had eaten all day. Rest of the group did not get sick.
