Der Garten is an exceptional restaurant in northern New Mexico that deserves Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition. Chef Asia's innovation shines through in traditional cultural dishes and simple meals like burrata salad, with a menu that includes European, Bavarian, and masterful offerings like duck confit pasta and ahi tuna salade nicoise. The ambiance is unique, set in a converted residential house, where guests enjoy dining on suede armchairs by a warm fireplace, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
The food and service are outstanding, with an open kitchen allowing guests to see the care in meal preparation. Highlights include the dragon bowl with ahi, ginger carrot soup with Pepitos and fresh cream, and various Bavarian favorites like bratwurst, steaks, chops, and seafood.
