I am not sure why everyone raves so much about this restaurant at Taos. The food was fine and the service was okay, however I have never had food poisoning as bad as I have from the Bavarian. The night before departing and having to drive 5 hours back home as well did not help. All I can say is there are many other good restaurants in Taos, maybe skip this one or just stick to the beer.

This is my favorite place to eat, drink, and hang out at TSV. I love the beers and the taste is amazing. The rest of the mountain has pretty poor beer selection so I always make it a point to stop in here for a drink after skiing. The pretzels with the cheese are delicious. I also love the Jäger Schnitzel. I can’t wait to return in a few weeks.

Ah, The Bavarian! An oasis of warmth and alcohol in the desert of snowy sobriety that is The Mountain. Found this spot early on in my Taos Ski Valley adventures, and was instantly charmed. I went there a few times during my stay, and always enjoyed it. Sadly, I never got to try the pretzels with cheese dip. They actually don't offer that during all hours, which was disappointing.
