The place was fairly packed for a Monday evening. The Margaritas were tasty, but I'm used to getting them in a large goblet. The Chile relleno was excellent, as was the chips/salsa/guacamole. I'd recommend!

Amazing food. Shared the nachos, salad and fajitas with 3 other people and it was the perfect amount of food. Service was prompt and friendly.

Classic is an understatement. Superb drinks and yummy southwestern food make this a great spot but the ambience makes it special.

Horrendous service but decent food. Barely even had the silverware to eat the food. The server messed up the person's order next to us 5 time and eventually stopped showing up to check on any of the diners. Wish I walked out at the beginning of my meal.

My favorite place to sit and eat in Taos. The food is fantastic and there's live music every night. My personal favorite is the blue corn cheese enchiladas and the hot, yummy Queso dip. They start serving food at 4:00 p.m.

Went for music and snack on a Tuesday evening. Pork stew was delicious and the entertainment was excellent. Free parking and table service in the music area.

I loved this spot so much that I visited it twice while staying in Taos! Cool architecture, tasty cocktails, local beers, really friendly bartenders, great live music and good food. If I visit Taos again I may stay at the Historic Taos Inn just to be close to the Adobe Bar. Though do know that you should arrive early if you plan to listen to live music on a Friday night ... I scored a seat before the music started, however, so many potential guests walked in and out because there was no seating after the music started.

Clint is one of the best bartenders ever. Perfect drinks and a fun guy.He suggested Docs Relleno appetizer and it was delicious.Adobe Bar has been around since the 1930s and lives up to its longstanding great reputation. Live music and dancing added to my evening's enjoyment. Highly recommended.

I was a guest at the inn, not a patron of the bar per se. But I did hear the singer while checking in and once I was in my room, which was just steps away from where he was singing. He was good. And he stopped singing at 9pm, which was good for the overnight guests who wanted to get some sleep. I think this place has live music every night.I also went up to the bar to get my ice bucket filled. The very handsome bartender filled my bucket and thanked me for staying at the inn. He made my middle age self feel like a million bucks. The building is beautiful and old and historic. Go for the architecture and the music and the handsome bartender.Parking: Parking is behind and to the right of the building. Look for a dark driveway/road and a small sign before the main entrance to the building. I passed it up and had to make the block even though I knew what I was looking for.Once you go down the driveway/road, you'll see a fence on the right, beyond which is a well lit parking area. The inn, the bar, and the restaurant share this parking area.Kid-friendliness: I mean, it's a bar. Don't bring your kid up to the bar. MAYBE you can bring your kid to the live music and have them sit in the seating area away from the bar. But really, it's an adult space. Don't bring them unless they're going to sit quietly and sip a Shirley Temple.

So first the food… we stopped in yesterday for prickly pear margaritas and chips & salsa and it was really great. Got some tamales to go and they too were really good. The bad, we came back for dinner tonight. Where to begin. Almost every table was asking where their food or drinks were. Not one table was brought silverware — everyone had to go asking for it. We ordered the carne asada medium well. It was very much well done. And for the price, it was just OK. Then after we finished, our prickly pear margaritas finally showed up. After we already ate. And they didn’t taste at all like the day before. Clearly they were missing something. The setting is really cool and the servers were very apologetic and understanding, but wow. Do better.
