The portion sizes here are pretty decent, so it’s worth what you’ll pay. I definitely could have gotten the half order of the chili rellenos (which were delicious). My husband ordered the fajitas for lunch and then went back later that night for tacos. The restaurant is pretty casual. The food is good and flavorful and the service was friendly and quick

The reviews are so deceiving!! Maybe it's because SATX mexican restraunts have spoiled us but I was begging for a mama margies or even las palapas after this meal. We got a little bit of everything, a chicken flauta plate, beef taco salad, asada taco, kids crispy taco plate, and a cheeseburger. Where do I even begin, the burger was burnt, the kids crispy taco ended up being a regular taco, the asada tasted like dog kibble. The rice was a 3/10, our 2y/o was struggling to eat rice and she loves all kinds of rice. When we watched her eat, she looked so disappointed. We spent $70 so we forced ourselves to eat. Also us being unfamiliar with the restaurant and looking at the menu was so overwhelming. We are all collectively depressed after having this meal. If you are more familiar with SATX mexican food then stay far away from here.

What a great surprise. This restaurant was wonderful. The food was authentic and delicious. The waitress and all staff were so professional and kind. The atmosphere was ok, more like a cafeteria; a welcoming atmosphere that allows normal average typical people to feel comfortable. Not pretentious or fancy, just clean and spacious.
I'm anxious to return here. The chili rellenos were superb, and prices LOW!

Neighborhood restaurant where locals and visitors alike are welcome. Authentic Mexican food. You order at a counter and then seat yourself and food is brought out in a timely manner. Well seasoned food and margaritas were large and delicious. We ordered a taquitos meal filled with beef served with rice and beans. And also grilled shrimp with tortillas and toppings and rice and beans. They have 2 restaurants in Taos and would eat there again.
