Definitely full of locals and for good reason… we were actually recommended this restaurant by a waiter at a different restaurant in town! The fried ice cream was amazing

Looks like a food kitchen - bare minimum furniture and decor, but the food is great. Fresh, real ingredients without oils, powders, and artificial flavorings you have in big chain restaurants. You order at the front counter and then your food is brought to your table.
Parking: Pretty big parking lot. About 30 spaces

It's a cafeteria. Food no flavor.
Too expensive.
Pick another Mexican restaurant.

Every year on the night we arrive to town, our tradition is to eat at the Guad. His year we had 14 of us. The service was great! Food even better.

I thought the food was good but the portions for the price were not great. And I ended up buying 2 rather small slices of cake and paid almost as much as I did for the 3 meals. I travel to Taos every other year or so, but I do not believe I will return. The staff was nice and attentive. I almost felt like I was being watched, perhaps there is just too many staff working. The atmosphere was modest and lacked luster and was rather warm at times.
Parking: Parking spots are limited.

Ar first sight this looks like a "restaurant" but in reality it's a glorified road side truck where you stand in line to order from a window, then pay and sit somewhere. There is NO service (but they want tips) The prices reflect top quality food yet This restaurant has the audacity to charge $4.50 for a bowl of cold Pace picante sauce & chips, and $20 for "fajitas" that did not make 1 and a half tacos. The kids taco plates (2 tacos) have more meat then the adult fajita plate. Ohhh and the corn tortillas are raw on all the meals. The first Mexican restaurant in New Mexico and I'm 100% disappointed... Texas is where it's at.

Just happened to find this place as I was going for a ride on the motorcycle.
The atmosphere was pretty cool. It was weird place an order at the counter like a fast food. After doing so, they brought the food out to my table.
I had the enchilada plate. The food was really good. I was just surprised at the small portions I got considering the high price I paid. They don’t even offer free refills.
This place was OK for a first time. But I will not go out of my way to go there again..
