About Nana’s & Papa’s Authentic Filipino Favorites

Nana’s & Papa’s Authentic Filipino Favorites serves the flavors missed by many. The entree with shrimp paste is a must-try, along with crispy and fresh lumpia. The halo-halo is a dream come true. Customers enjoy the generous portions, making them keep eating until they "assume a Buddha-like aspect." The chef's authentic dishes make diners feel like they are back in the Philippines. The owner is known for her friendly and down-to-earth service, often going out of her way to ensure customers have a great experience. The food truck offers home-cooked Filipino food, with dishes like the well-balanced Bricole ready in under five minutes. It stands out in the local food scene, providing a refreshing alternative to the typical northern NM and Mexican fare. The banana deep fried rolls for dessert are also a highlight, offering a taste of delicious home cooking.

I got real Filipino food! everything was excellent and the best part was the owner served me and she was very friendly, down to earth. That day, they couldn’t take card payments, but they gave me the food for free, which is not common here. The owner gave me the food with a big smile and said it was okay. I realized she didn’t want to spoil my lunch. I will definitely go back to pay her and order more.

Nice addition to Taos food scene. I've only had fusion Filipino food in Silver Lake, CA so this more authentic food is more typical day to day food. Not my favorite SE Asian flavor profile: sour, salty, sweet. But the banana deep fried rolls for dessert was delicious!

Great food truck, Home cooking Filipino food. Bricole was very well balanced flavors and delicious. Since it's braised ahead it was in my hand in less than 5 min after I ordered.

Great to have something beyond the same northern NM / Mexican fare (which I adore but not every meal).
