“What a great find! The food was awesome. We had the ribs with Mac & cheese, beans, coke slaw and potato salad. The ribs were moist and fell off the bone. The sides were great too. We finished it off with green chili apple cobbler which was unique and so so good. Everyone was welcoming and so friendly! Don’t miss this place!”

“What a pleasant surprise to find this on our way through Tucumcari! One of the other coffee shops in town posted that they were unable to brew espresso that day, and caffeine was a must. Carlson's Cafe Azteca was surprisingly but pleasantly spicy. On our second trip, a pain au chocolate and iced espresso hit the spot.”

“This place was recommended by a friend of mine who lives locally in the town. We were driving cross country along highway 44/66 going towards St. Louis and we stopped in town to visit. I asked where is a good place to eat and he recommended Del’s. Personally, I think it was great food, great staff, and a wonderful down home atmosphere. Being an original country boy from Northwest Iowa, it reminded me more of that type of pleasant experience that I had over the years back in my hometown area. Will definitely make a stop here when traveling through the area again. I am a foodie so I’m sure there’s lots of great stuff on the menu for me to try and of course I’m gonna have to try the desserts next time.”

“Had breakfast there this morning. Was staying in Tucumcari and was looking for a good meal before leaving town. Well we found it! Wife had huevo rancheros and I had the "rise and shine" breakfast with the house made sausage. House made sausage was out standing and the wife loved the huevo rancheros. Not to mention the service was fantastic as well. Will definitely eat there again the next trip through Tucumcari!”

“We saw the billboard as we were driving by on the interstate and decided to stop as our crew was getting hungry. The portions were large, the food was amazing, and the service was great. We love a good local food stop and this was perfect!”

“Great customer service! They answered our questions and gave us a chicken to taste for us to choose. Fried chicken and mac and cheese were good! Potato wedges needs more salt! Plenty of sauce options to choose. Nothing spicy though!
Vegetarian options: Mac and Cheese, Potato wedges are the vegetarian options”

“Oh my gosh, they were SOOOOOO nice and patient with my kids! They wanted one of the happy meal toys they hadn’t had yet and they were wildly patient with us and kind and sweet as they searched through the toys for just the right one. How nice?!! And they weren’t even grumpy about it. Such good hearted people working here.”

“They were pretty low stocked when I visited but the guy running drive through was pretty good at listing off what they were out of stock on before ordering. Only hiccup was that when I asked for a beef quesadilla, he didn't realize I was talking about the type of meat. He said they didn't have beef they had steak, as if steak isn't a type of beef meat. Oh well! Technicalities. I'm sure it was more to make sure I knew they didn't do ground beef as a quesadilla.
I'd visit again though. It was hot and fresh. Hopefully they'll be better stocked on the next pass through.”

“I was very impressed with the quality of the food! The vegetables were crisp and fresh and the meat was cooked perfect. I thought the prices were very fare. The dining room was kinda in tough shape (old tables, rips in the booths, some chipping paint) but I was glad my son and I ate there.”

“Definitely recommend! We had a table of 11, children and adults, and if you've had a group that size you know it means a lot when I say EVERYONE enjoyed their food, from cheese sticks, to pazole. It was amazing! Enchiladas were amazing! Tacos are exactly as I've had in Mexico, fresh and did not disappoint! We didn't order lightly and we were still served in a timely manner and were being checked on often! If you're considering stopping in while traveling DO IT.”
