“When a friend decided to visit after many years, we thought we’d make the occasion special by trying the Mother’s Day buffet here after spotting it on Facebook. On the way, we noticed the restaurant had a 3.6-star rating, which honestly made us a little unsure about what to expect.

But the moment we stepped inside, we were pleasantly surprised by the elegant fine-dining ambience. I had expected more of a traditional “dhaba-style” setting, so this was unexpected in a good way. The dinner buffet did start a little later than the advertised time, likely because they had a very busy lunch service beforehand.

While waiting, we ended up reading several mixed reviews online, but our own experience turned out to be far better. We enjoyed almost every item on the buffet. The lamb biryani, tandoori chicken, and soft naans were especially delicious. The Hakka noodles were slightly too spicy for our taste, and the samosa chaat had become a little soggy, though it was still flavorful. The only dish we truly didn’t enjoy was the aloo gobi.

One thing that surprised me was the cafeteria-style serving system where staff served the food onto our plates. But think, it helps in controlling food wastage. The “no eating with hands during buffet” policy felt a bit odd — especially eating tandoori chicken or naans etc is best enjoyed the traditional way!

The servers were friendly and polite throughout. One staff member in particular was doing her best to handle all the tables while also answering nonstop phone calls. On a busy occasion like Mother’s Day, it really felt like there should have been at least one more staff member helping out the front area.

The ambience and overall setup were beautiful. The only downside was that the buffet area became a bit congested once queue formed, which could disturb the nearby tables. Thankfully, we were seated in another section, so it didn’t affect us too much.
