This coffee is simply the best. Been buying it for several years both online and in the store.

The good and the not so good concerning North Mountain Coffee. This used to be my go to Coffee shop in the Berwick area but lately I rarely go there and other people have told me the same.So the good aspects of North Mountain are both the drip Coffee and their bulk Coffee Beans they have for sale. The not so good is that as of late they can’t make a decent hot Latte to save their lives. I’ve been so disappointed on multiple occasions to get back out to my vehicle looking forward to a nice hot morning Latte, but instead taste a lukewarm at best syrupy concoction that is completely unappetizing as far as a Latte is concerned. I have even gone so far as to take the cup back inside and tell them it’s basically cold only to be made a slightly warmer version. As Lattes are usually why I go somewhere for coffee I’ve pretty much dropped NMC for this reason. I realize this may sound harsh but I’ve given them many chances to get Lattes right on the chance different Baristas will make a difference but it doesn’t seem to matter. It really seemed to make a difference when they downsized the place during Covid, before that every Coffee experience there was great afterwards unfortunately not so much.

The North Mountain Coffee shop and experience pre- Covid and after their post Covid downsizing are two very different things. It is still a good place to drop in to for a drip coffee to go and to purchase bulk coffee beans. There is no longer any indoor seating area or place to socialize and meet friends for coffee and only a couple outside picnic tables for favourable weather days. Meanwhile the specialty drinks such as Lattes have really disappointed lately which is a real shame. Unfortunately North Mountain Coffee has morphed from being a real gem of the community and a favoured ‘go to’ place into just an occasional afterthought.

Used to be a great experience but since they removed the indoor tables and seating, the place has lost its charm - and I can imagine a lot of foot traffic and revenue. However, the coffee still does not disappoint.

I love your coffee! I have it shipped to Calgary often. I’m planning to share a few recipes with your coffee soon. From Dorothy’s Kitchen Thanks for your amazing coffee!

Despite the many options for local roasters nearby, North Mountain is the only one I drink. I buy the 5 lb whole bean bags and grind it fresh every morning. I recently got a bag that tasted less than spectacular for some reason. After reaching out, they graciously offered to make it better. They did just that. Now I'm back to enjoying fabulous coffee every morning.
These people are truly doing the lord's work in the Annapolis Valley. There isn't a better cup of coffee southwest of Halifax - or in Halifax, to be honest. Most other coffee you can find in the area is foul. Their coffee roasting is probably the best in the province. Despite this, they're not a weird cerebral 3rd wave shop in a repurposed waterfront bunker. They're just completely professional. Straightforward single-origins with clear, strong tasting notes, great blends for espresso and filtered coffee, and amazing service.

The coffee and other drink selections are fantastic! Every time I have been into North Mountain, the staff always has a lovely attitude. The all around environment is fantastic if you want to meet someone or even just to sit and do homework or read a book. Personally, this is one of my favourite spots to do my college work. If you're interested in a calm place to sit, have a well made drink, and do work or simply relax then this is your place! I have absolutely zero complaint, keep up the good work.

At onetime, I gave North Mountain coffee 5 stars for a rating. That was in a time when you could sit down and enjoy your coffee and a "treat" and have a chat with a friend. That is now gone. You can sit outside at a table and that's fine in the summer... not winter fall and spring. Coffee shops are meeting places, and small towns like Berwick, need those meeting places. Berwick has a Tim Horton's. You can go there and sit down have a coffee, a treat and have that conversation. The coffee is not as good, but sometimes those conversations with friends and family are more important! I would argue that what made North Mountain Fine coffee popular was its close attachment to Berwick and its' customers. Now not so much. Now to the coffee. I ordered a cappuccino. It had that "burnt coffee" taste that tells you it was made improperly or the wrong beans were used. At any rate, ultimately, if the coffee is not good then North Mountain Fine coffee should take the word "fine" out of their name!
