Don’t order nachos unless you want to feel incredibly let down. They use kettle chips, not as good as you think it’ll be.

It's been a long time since I went to a Pub for a meal. Last time was 20 odd years ago, when Chicken wings were all the rage. The Foc'sle is way beyond that. The chef there really knows his business. I had a Seafood Risotto, my wife, Stuffed Haddock. Both plates were delicious, with enough to fill you up, but not so much that you wouldn't want desert. I enjoyed every bite. I will say that it's the first time I ever had an ice cold stout. It's not bad....
The dining room side felt so welcoming, quaint, and beautifully quiet... exactly the kind of cozy atmosphere you want for a romantic night out.
The room itself was lovely, and the entire experience felt intimate and relaxed.
The service was incredible.. patient, kind, attentive, and genuinely warm.
