We've found this hidden gem by accident and we loved it! The Portuguese custard tarts were amazing, and the service (great vibe from the girl behind the counter) and the atmosphere make this coffee house a must-visit spot in Chester.
Came for ice cream! Left with ice cream! I saw someone being served a breakfast sandwich in a croissant and was immediately jealous because it looked soo good!!!
We have been ordering our work lunches here weekly! Always friendly and great service. My current menu favourites are: Wonton soup, Vietnamese Curry Noodle Soup and the Portuguese custard tarts!!! Thanks to the FOH and kitchen team at the Jib!

The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff create a welcoming experience, though the pricing may be a bit higher than expected. Customers have enjoyed the pastries, shrimp/chicken fried rice, and even a breakfast burrito when ordered eggs benedict. The cafe is known for its delicious baked goods, with morning glory muffins being exceptional. They also serve great sandwiches and coffee, along with excellent Asian appetizers and entrees. Although some customers found the cappuccino too watery and not hot enough, the food quality and service are highly praised. The warm, comfortable atmosphere, combined with good prices, makes it a highly recommended stop for those driving or cycling to Chester. The cafe also offers self-service coffee with various roasting options and a general store section selling jams, coffee mugs, and mustards, along with a dairy bar open in the summer.
