Went for breakfast on our last day in Chester. That was the only mistake. Should have been there sooner and more. Had the mushroom toast. It was great. Would love to know how to make it.

What a great experience! Great coffee (even a a flat white!) and food. The service was outstanding! As kiwis travelling through the region we’d say this is a must see/experience.

We stopped at this café in Chester for coffee and a light lunch, and it was such a great experience. I ordered a flat white and it was absolutely delicious - I’m still regretting not grabbing a second one to go! For lunch we shared the daily special, and they kindly split it into two plates for us without us even asking, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was good, and they also had a nice variety of sweets on display. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this spot if you’re in town.

They have really good sandwiches and offer gluten free options, which is nice.

Don’t be in a rush. For breakfast, plan for the entire morning. We were one hour before our breakfast landed on the table. The food was very good (bread heavy, but tasty). The take-out even got bottlenecked! Our server was kind and friendly.

$4.50 + tax for a cup of orange pekoe tea is way too much! Others in my group were also shocked by this price!!

Wish that it was a self service cafe.Takes do long to be served at the table. Food is something that I could make at home… but seafood chowder was great!
