Showed up around 4pm on Sunday , 4 customers in the store but 15 cars parked around the store 🤔. Sat down and waitress brang over menus , 20 minutes later she comes back and it's like it's the first time she's ever seen us . We have been here 5-6 time and the food has been goog but my hamburger was pretty bad this time . Rubbery and dry like it was pre-cooked 4 hours before . My wife had the fish &chips which were pretty good .

After seeing the plates of deep fried clams and fish and chips on their Facebook page, we decided to drop in and give the Stretch Diner a go! The meal was simply delicious! We shared the clam and fish and chip combo…very generous serving, perfectly cooked with fantastic homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce. Friendly, helpful wait staff too! Definitely 10 out of 10, plus there is a Senior’s Discount!

We went for the first time Sunday Evening we reside in Bridgewater we got there just before 6pm we got the last seat available at that time there was 1 main server on and what looked like another server working between the kitchen and dining area service was slow understandable server was very nice But the had 0 chowder left that what I really wanted the tea I got was lukewarm in the pot we ordered Johnny burgers that was the only saving grace the fries were overcooked and were again lukewarm as if sitting long time not worth the 30 plus dollars it seemed the kitchen was overwhelmed

We moved to Hubbards from Halifax in March, and this place is now one we make sure to visit on the regular. Some of the best burgers and fish and chips I have had in the province. They nailed being a diner.

A good friend and I stopped by The Stretch Diner today. We were greeted by Trudy who welcomed us like old friends and seated us at a great table. Menus and drinks were presented in short order and we both asked for the recommended clams and chips. My friend asked for a piece of fried haddock as well. Our meals arrived a few minutes later and we were simply astonished by the mountain of goodness that appeared before us! The first bite was even better! These were, without doubt, the best clams we have ever tasted! The hand cut fries and crispy battered fish were second to none! Great and ample Cole slaw and tartar sauce topped it off! The unbelievable clams are fresh shucked on site and they are the pinnacle of goodness! I don’t think this place can be beat, and I have sought out the best clams in Nova Scotia for years! This is it!! Fabulous service, amazing food and a fun 50s diner vibe plus the adorable Trudy add up to The Stretch being The Best!
