We did not eat we shocked at the folk art gallery.
Amazing little spot to stop for a coffee on the Cabot trail!! No burnt coffee here. Have the iced sea salt caramel latte—too good. The baristas are really lovely & they even had a harpist playing which really added to the vibe 🙂↕️

This place freaking rocks. I used to go here as a kid when it was the frog pong cafe, but it hasn't changed one bit, not even the prayer flags.
It's definitely one of the quaintest most unique cafes in the province, not to be millenial cringe, but it's truly a little slice of heaven 🍰🌄

I’ve been to their establishment before, so I recognized them at the Lunenburg folk art festival this year. She shoved my friend at an artists table, to get art that will likely be upsold to tourists. Mass buying art to sell/display at a private business is disrespectful to the artists who put so much time and energy into their creations. It’s also disrespectful to the other patrons of the folk art festival, who wait for hours in line to find a special piece that they will cherish in their home. I will not be going to Freya and Thor again, and I will be also be discouraging others from doing so.

I have been a a patron of Freya & Thor for many, many years. The beverages & food are great. Erin & Matt are huge supporters of art, especially local and independent. Visit the Café and art gallery, you won't be disappointed, you'll be recommending them!

Great spot! Very interesting gallary and gift shop. Coffee and drinks at the cafe were exceptional, and we happened to catch someone playing a harp! We'd go back!

Stopped for a coffee and was delivered an experience. The decorations created good conversation and the shops provided some unique gifts to take home.

Loved going there but problem is they open too late in the morning. By the time they open we’ve had our coffee. When it was owned by the previous owners, it was part of our morning routine.

If you want a different type of souvenir this is the place to go. The local woodworking and artists capture the soul of Cape Breton

My wife and I wanted a coffee really bad and we found frog pond café. My wife had the sea salt, caramel milk coffee, and I had a double shot of espresso. The gallery was fantastic with a bunch of stuff you can buy for souvenirs and a lot of art from local artists. Make sure you stop by here and visit.
I want to give a shout out to the lady who made your coffees, she was extremely nice and helpful info. Thank you
