Well…. Oct 11,2025, my son and I were travelling the Cabot trail and we were staying in cheticamp. We got in at 6:48 pm and didn’t realize they closed at 6:30. The door was unlocked as we seen a lady still eating. She said yes they were closed but she could offer us chicken only. We were more than grateful as we were on the road since 7:00 am.

Chicken was Very greasy, meat fell off the bone, and was also grainy, French fries were just simple frozen McCain’s Fries. Disappointing, also when asked for a medium gravy (which was also paid for), I received a small. Would not recommend
We stopped to get ice cream on our way back to Inverness. Ellie and Piper helped us out and the service was incredible! Ellie made suggestions on each item we asked about and made sure we found exactly what we wanted. She chatted up our 2 kids and had everyone excited for our treats! And Piper knocked them out of the park. It was such a fun and engaging experience!

The chicken poutine is a popular menu item, with the option to add onions for extra flavor. Customers have also enjoyed the chicken fingers, kaiser burger, and the fantastic ice cream. This cute little spot overlooks the ocean and has a few tables inside. The chicken is delicious with the perfect amount of spice. The chicken pieces were fantastic, along with the chicken breast on a bun. The fries weren't hand cut / fresh, but still good. The ice cream is a heavenly substance with the perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness with a fantastic mouth feel. The worm and dirt ice cream is a fantastic dish. The hot fudge sundae is also fantastic, super rich and decadent with an array of flavors. The milkshake selection is fantastic, super sweet and creamy! Overall, Mr. Chicken provides a wonderful dining experience.
