We just moved to Cape Breton and this was a stop to eat before we hit the skyline trail.First and foremost there was nothing special. Just extremely overpriced fried chicken. It tasted...tasteless. The portions for popcorn chicken were so small. 15 little pieces for 8 bucks. My kids usually love chip truck fries but these were just frozen crinkle fries deep fried. It cost us $74 to eat here. Would have been better off stopping at Robins, half the price and better quality.

I recently dined at Mr. Chicken, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I ordered the Hot Chicken sandwich, which turned out to be nothing more than fried chicken pieces sandwiched between two buns with gravy. The gravy was all over the bun which made the bun too soggy and the gravy was the worst gravy I had ever in life. The flavor was lacking, and it left much to be desired. Additionally, I tried the popcorn chicken poutine, which also lacked flavor and was rather bland. They use the same gravy for everything. The accompanying fries were devoid of taste and lacked salt. Overall, the meal was unsatisfying, and I wouldn't recommend it based on my experience.

We stopped here for ice cream in the summer and wow their portions are huge! A large ice cream cone is about a foot tall and the pup cup is bigger than a medium sunday from DQ! Very decent on their pricing too. I would highly recommend stopping here on your journey through the Cabot Trail.

DO NOT MISS THIS SPOT. Best fried chicken I’ve had in a while. The chicken fingers were so soft, hot and crisp. The seasoning was spot on. Perfectly spiced. We gobbled them up. The fries also great, crispy and perfectly soft! Fried chicken was also delectable, low on the Salt so you can add some but nonetheless amazing. GO HERE FOR BANGER FOOD.

This place busy, and considering the service was pretty fast. The staff were friendly, but the food was mediocre. We ordered clam strips and chips, and a hot chicken sandwich and chips. The fries were frozen, crinkle cut fries, which was disappointing. The portion of fries was huge! My meal had less than half cup of clam strips and the rest of the container was fries, for $11.99 plus tax. I was expecting a few more clam strips, and a lot less fries.
