After driving around the Highlands for 3.5 hours and finding nothing open we were very hungry! This place had good reviews and we weren't disappointed.

The portions are a great size, plenty to choose from and the local beer was a hit with my partner.

Very chill atmosphere when we were there but it was mid afternoon on a Monday off season. Clearly some great music events here!

Fantastic atmosphere! Felt like we were stepping back to a time where communities gathered in places like these. Great music, great food. The seafood chowder and fish and chips were delicious!

This is the last Sunday of Celtic Colors, and we had hoped to catch a last performance of some fiddle music along with dinner. No such luck. We had dinner, but the music was a rock band. There was a cover charge if you were staying for the music and since it didn’t interest us we decided to just have dinner and go. The food was OK but not particularly good. My wife tried to get steak tips medium rare, and they arrived with essentially no pink inside. Tons of mashed potatoes were good. I had the seafood chowder, which was tasty but really only contained dry textured fish. The roll that came with it was good. The service was great. We did not finish eating before the band started. When they did start, they were painfully loud. We paid and left as quickly as possible.

Parking: A dirt parking lot is found behind. For those in RVs, smaller ones will fit, but it can be tight. It is also not level but close enough. We parked against the grass in the back. We are 27' long. If Much longer than us, and you will find it impossible to navigate.

I was disappointed after choosing to stop in for lunch during a wonderful trip around the Cabot trail . Based on google reviews I expected better food. I have visited Nova Scotia many times to visit my in laws so I’m familiar with seafood . The chowder served at lunch consisted of cream broth potatoes and lobster pieces which sounded delicious but unfortunately the lobster meat was very old and discoloured and tasteless. My wife’s crab cakes were really just fish cakes and also bland and tasteless . Looking around we observed most people eating standard pub fare like burgers and nachos and in hind sight should have chosen that.

Came in on a Friday night and man was this place understaffed. Took us exactly 1 hour and 31 agonizing minutes to get our food.

Nice food. Great vibes with live music. Good food. Amazing hosts as well. We were in the town after our car breakdown - they were quite accommodating for us till we got our ride. We still managed to have a great time.

Vegetarian options: A few options available. Quality is also decent and not at all bland. Loved the veggie wrap. Also lettuce-diced fries.
