“Holy smokes. Where do I start? Thanks to the entire Canteen family - and I say FAMILY purposefully as you feel the family atmosphere as soon as you arrive - for hosting our team for dinner last week. We booked out the whole restaurant and they did just what we hoped for: Maritime hospitality, wonderful, genuine service and knock-your-socks off food. The team from across Canada went bananas over the Crobster sandwich. The special welcome from the owners was a lovely touch. The guests raved all the way back across the harbour on the ferry about the wonderful meal from start to finish. It’s a lovely space that is not pretentious and puts an emphasis on fantastic food and exemplary service, with a genuine smile. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Well worth a trip across the bridge! I rarely go to Dartmouth, but had an appointment this aft. Walking back to my car, I noticed this cute spot, Portland Street Creperie and decided to check it out. So glad I did! I’ll definitely be back. The owner and his staff member of many years greeted me with a warm welcome and good suggestions. It was a bonus to discover Neil shares a love of Kraftwerk! I’m so jealous that he will be seeing them for the third time 🤦‍♀️. Oh, and the crepes - fabulous! Definitely recommended!“

“Great brewery. The staff are super friendly and cool. They are down for a chat if it isn't busy. Excellent beer celection. Great not beer selection.
The back patio is an oasis and worth vibing on.
Their food is good, my partner loved his, I liked my veggie burger (toppings were great) but didn't love the patty (beet patty is very dark ages of veganism).
Bummer this place isn't more disabled accessable but it is in an older building.

Today my husband is celebrating one year cancer free, and she treated us like family providing exquisite and delicious meals, she also sent us home with a some cherry cheese cake on the house. And to Anton ( hope I spelt his name correctly as well) for coming over to say hello and remember us from our last visit. To say that we are beyond happy would be an understatement. “Marco Polo has the best dirty chai latte. I actually wrote most of my master’s thesis here because the vibe was so lovely. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is calm but alive, and there’s always that perfect coffee shop hum in the background. Truly a gem of a spot.“

“Three moms and FIVE 3 and 4 years old took on Jack Astor’s and our server, Tiana was absolutely up for the task! She got giggles from the grumpiest of toddlers, kept drinks filled and ketchup cups were delivered on demand (which was a lot). “My family attended for a birthday gathering, and my son who is 4 had the absolute best time! They had children's chopsticks for him to learn with and he loved he. He ate almost an entire bowl of Miso Raman by himself. Toddlers are notoriously picky eaters, but he loves this Ramen!

Our family tried lots of dishes that everyone loved and took extras home.

I like their signature non alcoholic mixed drinks, and they had a nice selection of vegetarian rolls for someone who doesn't eat fish too.

Nice atmosphere. The staff were great.

Excellent location. There's a playground in Dartmouth crossing right outside. Plenty of traffic. They have bathrooms but there are also public bathrooms outside.“

“I have eaten here many times since it opened and it used to always be top notch. But on our last visit, there were some inconsistencies with a couple menu items we ordered. The garlic bread and the broccoli cheddar soup were delicious, though, as were the salads!“

“If you’re looking for a good atmosphere and good food/drinks this is the place to go in Dartmouth. I stumbled in here one night and ended up meeting the owner and sharing conversation with other patrons and employees. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. The experience alone is worth going back. The food and drinks were really good and a fair price. I highly recommend.“

“Great atmosphere, you can watch them cook your food in an open kitchen style. Very fresh and piping hot right off the stove. Service was good, waitress was nice! “We visit this pub before shopping at Costco. Let me tell you, a filling and satisfying meal and a pint make the whole experience much easier! We love Seamus David's. The bowl is really filling — and at only $15 for a large size, it’s hard to find anywhere else that offers this much food for that price. The quality is more than good considering the cost. “We have gone twice now. Had pizza, poutine, chicken burgers. We loved the food each time! Didn’t eat in, but waited for our food in the restaurant. We did not pay attention to the cleanliness. The first time we went, there was a team of three guys working, it was very busy. They multi tasked great together-had a good vibe- were really friendly! Would have been a 5 for service but the second time it was just one guy, and he was busyish; however friendliness shouldn’t affect that. He wasn’t rude, but he wasn’t friendly either. lolEither way! We will continue to order from here ?“

“We loved the food! My husband and I went for a quick bite before our movie and we were seated, served and settled up just in time. We ordered half salads and they did not disappoint, our server made a great recommendation. We’ll be back to try some bigger bites.
The decor could be updated to match the quality they’re delivering. It’s definitely a comfortable and cozy space. There was one staff member I could overhear make a complaint to a server about seating choices, we chose the only window seating over the back.“
