Always love coming here. The food was delicious and the portions are quite large. So many options as a vegetarian 🌱
My 2 friends and I enjoyed a delicious lunch this afternoon. Many thanks to Adam, our server. He was very attentive and answered our questions regarding the menu in a very knowledgeable manner. We enjoyed our respective meals and look forward to dining there again.
Always a wonderful experience. Good food, service and drinks sitting on the waterfront. Couldn’t ask for anything better. ❤️ The Wooden Monkey. Not to mention the chocolate tofu pie.

Based on the reviews, The Wooden Monkey Dartmouth offers excellent service, food, and ambiance. The view of the Harbour and Halifax is a highlight, especially at sunset. The service is prompt and awesome, with staff who are very apologetic and make an effort to incorporate fresh ingredients into dishes. The food is flavorful and hot. Specific meals mentioned include the beet salad with goat cheese and walnuts, which was good and fresh, and the bacon and fiddlehead fettuccine, which was delicious. The chowder was the highlight, and the scallop pasta dish was loved. The fish cakes were the best ever, with a great crust and amazing sauce. Vegan options are available, with the chef substituting fresh mushrooms when tofu was out. The desserts used to be much better. The restaurant is a little pricey for what you get, but overall a wonderful experience for a special day.
