“Holy smokes. Where do I start? Thanks to the entire Canteen family - and I say FAMILY purposefully as you feel the family atmosphere as soon as you arrive - for hosting our team for dinner last week. We booked out the whole restaurant and they did just what we hoped for: Maritime hospitality, wonderful, genuine service and knock-your-socks off food. The team from across Canada went bananas over the Crobster sandwich. The special welcome from the owners was a lovely touch. The guests raved all the way back across the harbour on the ferry about the wonderful meal from start to finish. It’s a lovely space that is not pretentious and puts an emphasis on fantastic food and exemplary service, with a genuine smile. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Our server Sammy was so pleasant and attentive, she definitely made our experience nicer. The food was delicious as always, I never have a complaint when it comes to the service and food. The day we were in Im guessing the a/c must have been broken as it was very warm and uncomfortable. We left after our meal which was a shame because we would have stayed for dessert and more. It didn't help that it was a hot day as is. Aside from the a/c it was wonderful. Hopefully that gets situated sooner than later.“

Today my husband is celebrating one year cancer free, and she treated us like family providing exquisite and delicious meals, she also sent us home with a some cherry cheese cake on the house. And to Anton ( hope I spelt his name correctly as well) for coming over to say hello and remember us from our last visit. To say that we are beyond happy would be an understatement. “I've eaten here many times and I'm never disappointed. The staff are always warm and friendly and the food is exactly what I expect - good! Their spanikopita topped with the feta sauce is the best I've had anywhere. All this for a very reasonable price. Opa!!“

“Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. My mouth waters at the thought of their ginger beef, and the portion is always filling. The sit-down area is warm and inviting, well spaced, and has a classy open-kitchen element that keeps the whole place smelling like delicious food aromas! My usual move is to order takeout though, because the price is very fair and the quality is always there. Containers maintain their seal and they stay a reasonable temperature during transportation for those like me who HATE dealing with leaky containers in wet paper bags.

Last night I called for my ginger beef fix at 7:45, not realizing they closed at 8. The lady kindly asked if I would arrive before they closed. 10 min later I had my food in my hand, striding out the door at 7:58. And the lady was exactly as polite as the times I arrived at noon! Now that is service! And I am happy to recommend this place on that basis alone!

“I had a wonderful dining experience at Sushi Nami Royale. The restaurant has a spacious and welcoming atmosphere, with a modern design, warm wooden elements, and soft lighting that creates a relaxed and comfortable environment for enjoying a meal.
The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The staff were very polite, attentive, and efficient, making sure everything was perfect throughout the visit. Their friendliness made the experience even more enjoyable.
One of the highlights for me was the gyoza, which I absolutely loved. They were perfectly prepared, with a light texture and a very flavorful filling. It was a delicious way to start the meal.
I also tried the ramen, and it was fantastic. The broth was rich and aromatic, the noodles had a great texture, and the ingredients were fresh and well balanced. It was a comforting and satisfying dish.
Sushi Nami Royale offers a diverse menu inspired by Japanese cuisine, including sushi, ramen, and other Asian specialties prepared with fresh ingredients.
Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience. It’s a great place in Dartmouth for anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine, and I would definitely love to return to try more dishes from their menu.“

“after living in halifax for over 4 years i must say the most disappointing customer service and most hurtful incident of RACIAL profiling I ever had to deal with has been at the Burnside freshii..... after walking in between meetings while talking to my business partner on the phone, I was refused service by the MANAGER . who told me he will not serve me.... when asked why he refused to serve me he told me I was disrespecting him by coming to his cashier register on my phone...... of course this manager them walked around from his counter walked right into my face to intimidate me..... when i proceeded to try to make my order after been hungry running back and forth to meetings all day he proceeded to call the police... thanks to freshii Burnside I am once again reminded that my appearance is either threatening or offensive.... either way it was made clear that my kind is not welcome.....!!!“

Atmosphere - 8/10 (Irish music a bit louder would be great to help separate conversations of nearby tables) but loved the vibes and the flags around (even had the Republic of NL flag… the best flag in my opinion).

Service - 8/10

Food:
- potato skins 7.7/10 (needed a bit more cheese)
- Sweet potato chips 8/10
- Bruschetta 3/10 (dunno if it had cilantro in it but it gave soap vibes)
- Fish and chips 7/10 (if they used Cod it would easily be a high 9)

Drinks: 8/10, loved how they had Guinness 0.“

I told them to take every lease hold improvement that they made to the new location especially the ceiling metal panels. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Look for their new location when they move. You won't be disappointed. I just arrived to NS from Vancouver Island hours before. It was a super surprise and close to our hotel.
