“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!“

What a little gem 💎 Discreetly tucked deep into this shop front, the cool air, atmospheric lit interior and warm welcoming service was so lovely. We didn’t have a reservation but the super cool matre’d hustled us 3 great seats on the bar while we explored for 15 minutes.

Tori was our fab server who was knowledgeable about the menu and a ‘complete hospo pro’. We felt welcome and looked after.

The food is AMAZING, we had the Tuna tartare and burrata to start then the Halibut, duck breast and the tagliatelle mains. All so tasty, filling and well priced.

It was bustling on a Thursday night so definitely book to dine or chance it and hope to get lucky like we did 😊“

“Drove up from New Brunswick a couple weeks ago and a friend insisted we try The Ostrich Club for dinner, and honestly I'm so glad we listened. The duck confit was perfectly cooked, rich and tender in a way that had us scraping the plate clean. Our server was genuinely warm and knowledgeable about the menu without being pushy, which made the whole evening feel really relaxed. If I'm ever back in Halifax this is the first place I'm booking a table.“

“The other people on here are right about the Tonkotsu Ramen. This probably exceeds most ramen-only shops. I don't usually drink the soup but I find myself almost polishing it off. It's light but filled with umami flavor and the grilled pork is amazing too. They didn't take any shortcuts with the onsen egg too, it has the shoyu flavor it's supposed to and just slightly underdone. The atmosphere is chill and homely and service is quick. You can leave in 15-20 minutes or stay for however long. Definitely coming back and trying other stuff on the menu!“

Unfortunately, during the music break, I became ill very suddenly (non alcohol related), and got sick as I tried to reach the washroom. I was so embarassed and upset, but a lovely customer and the owner were incredible. Emma and Karen made sure I was well taken care of, cleaning me up, calming me down, rubbing my back, getting me water and wet/dry cloths. I can't thank you both enough! “This food is amazing. The service is friendly and helpful. They serve you enough food. Shrink-flation doesn't seem to have diminished their portions. I just ate nachos and they were saturated with fresh vegetables. I feel nourished. 10/10 folks.“

“My friend's and I recently had lunch at La Piazza. The food was absolutely delicious, the service exemplary and the atmosphere is very cozy. The crust is excellent and not greasy. The owner is fantastic and definitely cares about his customers and his pizzeria's reputation.“
