“I've been loving cafe taiakiy since they first opened and I'm overjoyed there still thriving. and absolutely delicious and unique treat in downtown halifax and in i will always reccomend them to anyone looking for a nice expirence and sit down. extra points of course for dietary options for both vegan and gluten free batter, keep on rocking yall!!“

“Grabbed dinner with a few friends at Suda Table last Friday evening and honestly it exceeded every expectation we had. The vibe inside was warm and relaxed, exactly the kind of spot where you lose track of time without meaning to. We ordered the Thai green curry and it was genuinely one of the best versions I've had in Halifax, deeply fragrant with just the right amount of heat. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and made some great recommendations when we were on the fence about what to order.“

“Going in I did not realize they were plant based, I got a latte with oatmilk (Ive had some really bad oat milk lattes before so I wasnt expecting much). If I didnt like it I was just going to give it to my brother who is vegetarian so I knew he'd like it.

The oatmilk latte was the best I've ever gotten. If I could get my latte here everyday I would switch over to oatmilk permanently! Give it a go!“

The place has a Spanish atmosphere and music, and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. There are books to read, a comfy couch to sit on with friends! It's not as expensive as I thought, I bought hot chocolate and it cost me $2.25!

Perfect coffee, friendly and professional staff, delicious pastries (my husband said it was the best croissant he’s had outside of Montreal!). “Gateway Cafe is inside the Pier 21 Cruise Terminal and is a great place to get an iced coffee and an authentic Canadian butter tart. Coffee drinks ate good and the butter tarts didn’t disappoint!

It’s quiet and they have plenty of seating. Service is fast and friendly. It’s a frat place to relax after a day long tour of the area.“

“Hear me out, this is a cool spot for a cafe, I love the 2 floor aesthetic, and the upper seating with the window looking over argyle is really quite supreme to be honest. I really, really like this spot's interior and general location - great downtown place.

My mocha was unfortunately kinda underwhelming, it definitely tasted like chocolate syrup, which is kinda disappointing for a cafe whose vibe is authentic and french. Birds nest and rousseau absolutely smoke this in the mocha department. But listen , I didn't try anything else, and I'm rooting for this place. I like it, and I do want to come back to try other things. The macaroons looked delicious.“

“My friend's and I recently had lunch at La Piazza. The food was absolutely delicious, the service exemplary and the atmosphere is very cozy. The cheesecake is delicious but a tad over priced, as were all the deserts, in my opinion. All in all, a very nice experience and we will definitely be going back for our monthly Ladies Lunch.“

“We had a phenomenal meal at Cafe Lunette. It was the kind of meal you can only have when service, food, and atmosphere align perfectly.

We went for my husband’s birthday dinner and enjoyed a quieter Thursday night seating. To our surprise and subsequent delight, there was live music. Thankfully, the volume was such that we could still talk, but the presence of the music washed over the space perfectly.

Our server was bright, bubbly, and attentive. She really made it a great meal for us with excellent suggestions and fast service.

The food was amazing. The French influence is executed well. I don’t know how people eat mussels without bread. Fries are tasty, but nothing is better than dipping fresh bread into that savoury broth. The mustard chicken was tasty, perhaps a touch dry. We could have done without the leeks, it just fell flat compared to the other dishes.

I will be definitely recommending this spot to anyone in Halifax!“
