“I've been loving cafe taiakiy since they first opened and I'm overjoyed there still thriving. and absolutely delicious and unique treat in downtown halifax and in i will always reccomend them to anyone looking for a nice expirence and sit down. extra points of course for dietary options for both vegan and gluten free batter, keep on rocking yall!!“

Tried capturing it a little differently this time. We always go for their sandwiches (the menu changes, but everything is consistently delicious).

Highly recommend pairing it with an iced strawberry matcha or a caramel latte (iced or hot). The hojicha was new on the menu too, and it did not disappoint!“

“Went in not knowing it was plant based. I typically don’t like oat milk but it was the best oat latte I’ve had!! The donuts are literally to die for. However, staff weren’t extremely friendly and every time I’ve gone they have been very impatient and short (and it wasn’t even busy or anything).“

“We had the pleasure of eating at Bird’s Nest today, Chicken Club Sandwiches (and we have our usual cup of coffee everyday there too) The food is outstanding, based on fresh seasonal ingredients clearly put together by a chef that has a true passion for food! The service was fantastic as always, and their staff is so friendly, and they know our usual orders by now. “I just arrived in Halifax P.S my first time here and I'm liking it!
The place has a Spanish atmosphere and music, and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. There are books to read, a comfy couch to sit on with friends! It's not as expensive as I thought, I bought hot chocolate and it cost me $2.25!

Staffed by fun engaging personnel, they take pride in their work, are welcoming, and engaging. It makes you not only want to stay, but return. Great location too!

“Tony is the nicest man you'd ever meet. As someone who has worked in this mall for a decade, I know that I will always get a warm experience. My favorite item is their breakfast pita, which has scrambled egg, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and can add cheese. It's perfect for an easy breakfast that will hold you over til lunch. Sometimes I grab an afternoon snack here, which may be a Nanaimo bar, peanut butter cookie, etc. I haven't tried their pizza slices yet, but heard they are decent! Perfect coffee, friendly and professional staff, delicious pastries (my husband said it was the best croissant he’s had outside of Montreal!). The cafe was very spacious and I LOVED how much space there was in between tables so you can relax and enjoy your coffee in peace. 10/10! We will be back.“

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the creamy oat milk lattes and colourful lemonades and we found ourselves retuning to the Cafe every day of our vacation. We had the opportunity to meet Lara, the owner, and it was immediately clear why this Cafe is so tastefully decorated, why the atmosphere is so enjoyable and the menu so very delectable. “Hear me out, this is a cool spot for a cafe, I love the 2 floor aesthetic, and the upper seating with the window looking over argyle is really quite supreme to be honest. I really, really like this spot's interior and general location - great downtown place.

My mocha was unfortunately kinda underwhelming, it definitely tasted like chocolate syrup, which is kinda disappointing for a cafe whose vibe is authentic and french. Birds nest and rousseau absolutely smoke this in the mocha department. But listen , I didn't try anything else, and I'm rooting for this place. I like it, and I do want to come back to try other things. The macaroons looked delicious.“

“My friend's and I recently had lunch at La Piazza. The food was absolutely delicious, the service exemplary and the atmosphere is very cozy. The cheesecake is delicious but a tad over priced, as were all the deserts, in my opinion. All in all, a very nice experience and we will definitely be going back for our monthly Ladies Lunch.“
