“Stopped by the counter at Wild Leek on Saturday morning and ended up staying way longer than planned just taking pictures of the light coming through the front windows. The avocado toast with the poached egg was genuinely great, and the woman working the juice station was happy to let me snap a shot of her pouring a beet blend without making it weird. It's a tight little spot so don't expect a ton of seating, but the exposed brick and plants make for a really nice backdrop if you're into that kind of thing. Already planning to go back with my camera on a quieter weekday morning to catch it before the rush.“

“Stopped by on a Saturday night trip from Ontario and ended up at Edna on a friend's recommendation, no regrets at all. The scallops were some of the best I've had, perfectly seared, and the whole menu felt like it actually understood Nova Scotia seafood instead of just cashing in on it. Our server knew the wine list cold and didn't rush us even though the place was packed. Small dining room so it gets loud, but honestly that just added to the fun, lively vibe of the night.“

“My friend's and I recently had lunch at La Piazza. The food was absolutely delicious, the service exemplary and the atmosphere is very cozy. The cheesecake is delicious but a tad over priced, as were all the deserts, in my opinion. All in all, a very nice experience and we will definitely be going back for our monthly Ladies Lunch.“

“We stopped in on a weeknight after wandering around Halifax all day and were glad this place was still buzzing with a relaxed crowd. My husband got the sticky toffee pudding and I had a pot of tea, and honestly both were better than we expected for a casual cafe. The staff were friendly and didn't rush us even though it was getting close to closing time, which we really appreciated after a long day of sightseeing. We loved the cozy little atmosphere with the mismatched chairs and soft lighting, and we'll definitely stop by again next time we're in town.“

“My son and I attended the John Prine Tribute Show Saturday night; the talent was spectacular and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, during the music break, I became ill very suddenly (non alcohol related), and got sick as I tried to reach the washroom. I was so embarassed and upset, but a lovely customer and the owner were incredible. Emma and Karen made sure I was well taken care of, cleaning me up, calming me down, rubbing my back, getting me water and wet/dry cloths. I can't thank you both enough! “11/10. Absolutely phenomenal experience. They are SO patient and SO experienced. Nothing is out of the question as they can make anything possible. Your booking includes set-up and tear down by the staff, HUGE win. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. And obviously the space is GORGEOUS; very little decorations are even needed in the romantic moody room. We did our ceremony on the roof and it was SO special. Food incredible. We did a standing cocktail dinner and we had more than enough and continue to received compliments over the menu. This is SUCH an awesome spot!“

They all came with a side and we tried all three - the soup, mixed green salad and the ceasar salad. Everything was delicious! Only complaint is we were never checked on for additional drink refill - other than that really good.“

“My wife and I decided we wanted to eat out last evening. We weren’t necessarily looking for fast food, but we weren’t looking for fancy food either. We dropped by Krave Burger last evening and wow! The burgers were awesome and the fries were fresh cut and equally tasty with just the right amount of salt mixed in! The staff were wonderful and even recommended an alternate meal for us, which actually turned out to save us a little money. The person at the drive-through was courteous, smiled and was just lovely. She clearly enjoys her work and it shows. I know it’s just a burger and fries, but it was served with a friendly smile great service and we just loved it. Their burgers are amazing. You owe it to yourself to visit the shop.“

“Since Covid I have very rarely been downtown and so today when I had the opportunity I went to my fave place and ordered the Pho GA and The lemon grass chicken Bahn-Mi. It was even better than I remembered! Lots of chicken, the yummy housemaid citrusy mayo and the bun which is absolutely amazing. The res chillies for me is what makes this so darn tasty - so thanks for that kind associate behind the counter who acccommodated my request!“

“The beef brisket was very, very juicy expected a little bit more but that’s OK. The pulled pork I found to be a little dry, but it was tasty. The sauce were all amazing. The cornbread was very fresh and also very tasty and the little mini corn dogs well there are mini corn dogsall in all. Sheri is an awesome bartender and makes the best Caesar’s. The inside is decorated unlike anything I’ve ever seen and I would say this is easily my favourite place to go in the city.“
