“Honestly, this is just not a place for me to get a cup of coffee. I'm truly lucky that this starbucks is right in my workplace. This is a place where I know I can be myself and the staff who are basically my very good friends now with whom I know I can share anything and they won't judge. Their behavior, their dedication towards making people feel happy with every sip of their beverage makes the ambience more delightful & comfortable. Love this Starbucks, Love the staff (my friends)🤍“

The place has a Spanish atmosphere and music, and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. There are books to read, a comfy couch to sit on with friends! It's not as expensive as I thought, I bought hot chocolate and it cost me $2.25!

I stop by here daily to start my day with a drip dark roast (they have regular too) and its so damn good. They have an espresso machine, teas and make italian sodas.
The baked goods are also amazing and are not those ‘run of the mill carbs’ but bite into and taste the love & butter deliciousness. The oatcakes are ridiculously tasty and the chai cookies are like artwork; they also have wraps, snack protein balls (so good), macrons and yoghurt parfaits.
There is also a coffee card so after a 8-10 (?) coffees you get a free cup.
Area is quiet and across the cafe there are pods just in case you need to drink your coffee in peace.“

Let me paint the scene: It’s 4:37 PM. My brain is fried from hours of intense lectures. I’ve written notes in three languages, my eyes are twitching from too much screen time, and I’m dangerously close to turning into a caffeine-deprived zombie. And then… I arrive here. My oasis. My happy place. The one spot where I can breathe, sip, snack, and not feel like the world is out to get me.
Every break is sacred — and this place makes every single one count. I’m not kidding, I schedule my day around my visit. Exams? Important. Group projects? Stressful. But my coffee stop? Essential for survival. You can’t write a 2,000-word essay on an empty stomach and a dry soul. That’s why I trust this place to recharge both.
Now let’s talk about Too Good To Go. What a genius invention! I got a box of samosas so good I nearly cried. Crunchy, flavorful, and possibly blessed by the food gods. Paired with their legendary vanilla latte (which I’ve now mentally ranked above some family members in importance), and it’s heaven.
Also, the staff? 10/10. Friendly, fast, and never judge me for showing up looking like I lost a fight with my textbooks. I always leave smiling, caffeinated, and full of hope — or at least with enough energy to face the next class.
In short: great food, amazing drinks, wonderful people, and the exact vibe I need to feel human again. This place isn’t just a coffee stop — it’s a lifestyle. A safe zone. A daily hug in cup form. I’ll be back tomorrow. And the next day. Forever.“

“We had the pleasure to discover Lara Cafe during our vacation in Halifax with our 3 children. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the creamy oat milk lattes and colourful lemonades and we found ourselves retuning to the Cafe every day of our vacation. We had the opportunity to meet Lara, the owner, and it was immediately clear why this Cafe is so tastefully decorated, why the atmosphere is so enjoyable and the menu so very delectable. “I go to the drive thru on Young Street in Halifax at 4.30 am almost every morning. The girl who works the back shift is exceptional! She is always polite and welcoming every time. I look forward to our brief interaction . She is a very positive person and deserves a raise!

“This is a kiosk inside of Nova Scotia Community College's Institute of Technology. It was reported in an earlier review that the kiosk is not open to the public, which is completely untrue. You're more than welcome to drop by for a coffee if you're in the neighborhood.“
