“Been going to Gingerbread Haus for years now and stopped in again a couple weeks ago on a quiet weekday afternoon, and it's still consistently great. The gingerbread lattes and the sourdough cinnamon buns are worth the trip alone, and everything always tastes fresh, never like it's been sitting around. The staff behind the counter remembered my usual order without me saying a word, which says a lot about how they treat regulars. It's a small spot so seating fills up fast on weekends, but the warm, homey atmosphere makes it worth squeezing in or just grabbing something to go.“

They all came with a side and we tried all three - the soup, mixed green salad and the ceasar salad. Everything was delicious! Only complaint is we were never checked on for additional drink refill - other than that really good.“

“We stopped in on a weeknight after wandering around Halifax all day and were glad this place was still buzzing with a relaxed crowd. My husband got the sticky toffee pudding and I had a pot of tea, and honestly both were better than we expected for a casual cafe. The staff were friendly and didn't rush us even though it was getting close to closing time, which we really appreciated after a long day of sightseeing. We loved the cozy little atmosphere with the mismatched chairs and soft lighting, and we'll definitely stop by again next time we're in town.“

“I read it`s burnt, then I read it`s not cooked enough. I read it gets green mold on it. What is it with you people? It is not burnt and if you got a batch that was not cooked enough because they are trying to make everybody happy. Only a real not very sharp person would complain about mold. It is a very old recipe that when it made, it was used the same day. No refridgeration back then. MORE IMPORTANTLY NO PRESERVATIVES it will turn green if not used. You eat the stuff that has all the preservatives in it and you might not turn green either! Good luck!

“Stopped by for coffee with a few friends last Friday evening and the place had such a cozy vibe going on. We split a plate of churros with the house chocolate sauce and honestly I'm still thinking about it. The barista chatted with us about the espresso blend they use, which was a nice touch and didn't feel rushed at all. Already planning to go back this weekend since parking right out front made the whole thing easy.“
