Every dish is carefully and masterfully crafted, with a lot of love from the chef who served us with a smile and great recommendations when we couldn’t decide. The plantains were roasted to perfection — gooey on the inside, crispy on the outside. The sassy croissant was absolutely scrumptious: perfect ratio of smoked salmon to cream cheese, lovely caramelized onions and the perfectly poached egg on top! The jerk chicken crepe was also delicious. The rose water digestive after we finished our meal was a lovely touch and the perfect way to finish off brunch. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Halifax! Skip the tourist madness for a homey meal.“

“The food in Edna is simply wonderful. Tartar as a starter was good, and the two fish dishes we had were perfect: halibut cheek and char with a Sauce Vierge both perfectly balanced. Service was excellent as well. Only downside was how loud it was.“

“Stopped in with hubby and the doggies for lunch. Was thrilled we could have the dogs with us at the table on the patio and that there were water bowls provided. Service was a little slow and unfortunately our order got lost and it took a while to get our food. Kitchen tried to rush the meal to make up for the delay and our spinach dip was still cold in the middle. Overall the food was good and I would return to try the food again.“

“A great brewery right next to the cruise board with a variety of delicious peers. They have a 13 beer flight and a 10 beer flight, both are great to share if you’re looking to try some of the flavors of Halifax beer. There are many great beers here and some great Takeaway beers all very close to the cruise port dock. Make sure to get off the boat and grab a quick pint!“

Our server, Bridgid, was patient and enthusiastic, making my young kids feel welcome. My spouse enjoyed his meal and felt good afterwards. The cheesecake is delicious but a tad over priced, as were all the deserts, in my opinion. All in all, a very nice experience and we will definitely be going back for our monthly Ladies Lunch.“

It was even better than I remembered! Lots of chicken, the yummy housemaid citrusy mayo and the bun which is absolutely amazing. “Came here for my mom’s 50th birthday, our server Habib was very friendly, hilarious and fast. Some of us got the lobster dinner and it was delicious, deserts were amazing. The food may have been just slightly overcooked but only if we’re being picky. The fish dishes were also really good and clam chowder was 10/10. “It's good. To be honest, the donair sauce isn't for me, but the dish itself was yummy. We had the donair and garlic cheese stick combo and both were great. This is probably the best place to wash up if you're sloshed or hungover.

As a warning, the place itself is very hot. It was 28 outside and the spot was noticably warmer than the scorcher outside.“
