This is Donair done right! As a former Edmontonian used to their pirated version of sweet sauce, I was looking forward to trying the original. Got to say I wasn’t disappointed!Well worth the walk from downtown!
A Halifax classic. Although the shop is kind of dumpy and the service is mediocre, but it is all part of the charm. The donairs are totally worth it! Pictures of visiting celebrity wrestlers on the wall. Best to get take out.

I was really excited to try the donair in Halifax. Lot’s of people talked about it online. The sandwich was nice and simple: donair, tomato, onion and sauce on the pita bread. It was very good, but very messy to eat. As soon as a received the sandwich wrapped in aluminum and I opened it, I noticed it was impossible to eat at as sandwich so I just asked for a fork. The bread became soggy hence even if I were to wrap it again myself it wouldn’t hold. But the meat was very good...read full review
