I was really excited to try the donair in Halifax. Lot’s of people talked about it online. The sandwich was nice and simple: donair, tomato, onion and sauce on the pita bread. It was very good, but very messy to eat. As soon as a received the sandwich wrapped in aluminum and I opened it, I noticed it was impossible to eat at as sandwich so I just asked for a fork. The bread became soggy hence even if I were to wrap it again myself it wouldn’t hold. But the meat was very good so I definitely recommend eating it with a fork.

Dirtiest restaurant I’ve been to since I was in university (10+ years ago). Everything behind the counter was covered in a think coat of grease. I’m not usually uptight about these type of things, but like I said, this was the worst I’ve seen in a long time.

This is Donair done right! As a former Edmontonian used to their pirated version of sweet sauce, I was looking forward to trying the original. Got to say I wasn’t disappointed!Well worth the walk from downtown!

Ordered delivery from the quinpool location to salter rd we ordered a small pizza a small garlic fingers and a small original donair. Was told it would be 30 mins we didn’t get it for an hour and when it did finally arrive it was ice cold the garlic fingers were way over cooked and not enough cheese. Donair was okay but much to sauce to meat and the pita they use was way to small also cold so it really wasn’t very good tasting I had no way of warming it up again. Pizza was good not the best I’ve had but it was good also cold

A Halifax classic. Although the shop is kind of dumpy and the service is mediocre, but it is all part of the charm. The donairs are totally worth it! Pictures of visiting celebrity wrestlers on the wall. Best to get take out.

Hi, I visited this place two days before i have bad experience with food service because i have to wait for my order for long. no doubt food is delicious but the thing in the restaurant they have only one person to take order and same person prepare the meal. So the waiting time is soo long and delayed . It was a phone call order . I was there for pick up and they said you have to wait for food and it was not prepared .

Pizza is the worst I've ever had..they may make a good donair but their pizza sucks. Boss ordered us 12 large pizzas and they weren't even worth eating.
I ordered a medium garlic fingers and it was delicious, hot & cheesy. Staff seem a bit preoccupied, they didn't bother to look at me or reply when I said thank you and took my food. It was a bit cold inside with the door open at 0 degree weather, so I took my food to go.
Terrible… store is dirty, staff on their phones, food was cold… I recommended KOD to a friend who was in town they had a large donair, will not recommend again.
