“Yesterday we had the privilege of eating at The Narrows Halofax, Nova Scotia's #1 Public House and number #12 in Canada. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere and personable host made us feel like we were home! All of the waitresses were incredible and ours went over and above to make us happy and we truly had the best time. The food was to die for, they have a fantastic menu with a bit of everything on it. 100% highly recommend we will be back 🥰“

I enjoy sitting by the window with the sunlight. Highly recommend the Stout & Honey Braised Lamb Shank. The meat is super tender and falls right off the bone. Very flavorful. Definitely coming back for drinks next time.“

“Stopped in with hubby and the doggies for lunch. Was thrilled we could have the dogs with us at the table on the patio and that there were water bowls provided. Service was a little slow and unfortunately our order got lost and it took a while to get our food. Kitchen tried to rush the meal to make up for the delay and our spinach dip was still cold in the middle. Overall the food was good and I would return to try the food again.“

“A little disappointed in this place. There’s a guy across the street cursing out people while we ate outside. The staff asked me not to call the Police and are not willing to do anything. I posted a pic of the guy that will ruin your outdoor experience at this place.“

“We enjoyed our evening here. We were looking for a place to watch the hockey game and we had bonus live music at the intermissions. The band was very good. Service was friendly. Cool retro decor. We had the club sandwich and wings both very good.
It’s located in a cool. The street is lively and pedestrians only.“

“Had a meal with my family here and I hadn't been to Midtown in many years. Food was as I remembered, hit the spot. And our waiter may have been the best waiter I've had in Nova Scotia in a long time. My family has had a very difficult week and my daughter was having a rough evening but the waiter, Colin, knew exactly how to talk to her and he was genuinely kind with my boys. This definitely eased my own stress as well, and later in the evening my daughter brought up how nice he was. I don't usually leave reviews but my experience this evening was a reminder why I love Halifax. Thank you“

“The staff at LHTavern were great even upon entering. Our Elders were having a luncheon there and many attended.. the staff serving and working the luncheon were awesome..
Pros at their work services...friendly and quite polite..I thoroughly enjoyed everything..thank you Jan and Mike for your everyday gifts of your work ethics as our Host and Hostess.
My food..the panned cooked haddock with veggies...real mashed potatoes and coleslaw.tartar sauce etc.. was a large serving which I dang near licked the plate clean.

“I could not be more thankful for the staff at the lower deck. While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!! I could not be more grateful for the AMAZING staff who not only kept me calm, but no joke, FOUND ALL OF MY GEAR AND SAVED THE DAY!!! Mike, Steph, and Laura seriously deserve an award for how above and beyond they went last night. 10/10, thank you does not say enough“

“This is our local taproom. I just love this place. Great bunch of people...staff and patrons. A great place to relax and enjoy some good conversation. The beer is the best in Halifax if you're into craft beer. Always a great selection and the beers rotate frequently so you never get tired of drinking the same thing....unless of course you want to. They have some specialty snacks to enjoy with your favorites beer too. They do not serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever your heart desires, in to eat. Jesse's Pizza and CHKN CHOP are just steps away.A couple of my favorite beers are 12 Years to Zion, DOA and Flat Black Jesus. I'm sure you'll have your own favorites.“

“Love oasis. Always will. However, can I suggest that at karaoke you limit the amount of songs a person can sign up to sing? Last night there was a few girls who kept signing up repeatedly and singing over and over again and there wasn’t enough time for the rest of us to sing :)“

“A very homey and romantic atmosphere. The subdued lighting is reminiscent of the kind of place you take your mistress. The charcuterie board which my wife and I shared was quite excellent. The beer( North Brewery’s Malternate Reality IPA ) was exceptional and my wife “loved” her Red wine spritzer Shiraz. Our server, Scotty, was the most engaging and friendly person I’ve encountered in a Bar or Restaurant in Nova Scotia and I’ve been coming here for 22 plus years. A sublime experience.“

“Came tor Trivia night and ordered quesidila. Little pricey for food but I guess fairly standard these days, but the drinks were reasonably priced. Iverall decent experience. Typical pub fair and vibe for the most part. Service was decent, food came out quite fast“

“The pizza was absolutely delicious, perhaps the best I’ve had. Crust was perfectly cooked, toppings were generous yet not overpowering. I ordered the 9” personal and probably could have done with just 3 of 4 slices but forced the last one down … was too good to leave.

Service was A++. Alex welcomed us right away, was quick to take our order and took the time to chat for a moment before we left. Such a breath of fresh air in this world where everyone seems to be too busy to even say hello. An asset to the restaurant! “We celebrated an engagement and the hostess arranged for appetizers, prosecco and all the accoutrements in perfect timing for our family toast of congratulations. The main course and special cocktails were excellent and up to our high expectations! The blueberry buckle gifted by the restaurant to the newly engaged coupler was delicious and most appreciated. Also, loved the atmosphere, warm fire blazing and great service!“

“Group of work crew got together for a meal and then a Moose game on February 29th and not only enjoyed the food, the layout of the restaurant, but the waiter (Brandon) was amazing and made the whole experience of our first visit the best experience and we'll definitely return.“
