“Yesterday we had the privilege of eating at The Narrows Halofax, Nova Scotia's #1 Public House and number #12 in Canada. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere and personable host made us feel like we were home! All of the waitresses were incredible and ours went over and above to make us happy and we truly had the best time. The food was to die for, they have a fantastic menu with a bit of everything on it. 100% highly recommend we will be back 🥰“

“We saw this restaurant as a choice to go too while planning our vacation. So glad we went, liked it so much we went the next night. We sat in the pub downstairs, loved the atmosphere, my husband had the turkey pie and I hade the chicken and leak pie the first night, the pastry was so nice. the second night we had the fish and chips and the pan fried haddock. This was our favorite spot to eat in Halifax.“

“Stopped in with hubby and the doggies for lunch. Was thrilled we could have the dogs with us at the table on the patio and that there were water bowls provided. Service was a little slow and unfortunately our order got lost and it took a while to get our food. Kitchen tried to rush the meal to make up for the delay and our spinach dip was still cold in the middle. Overall the food was good and I would return to try the food again.“

He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, and his genuine care and thoughtfulness really stood out. “We held a celebration of life at the Lion's Head, and it was the perfect venue. Joseph, the manager, was so flexible and easy to deal with, the space was large and had lots of windows and natural light with easy-to-use technology for toasts and broadcasting of slide shows. The food was great, and the serving staff were excellent, respectful and efficient. This was such a painless experience for a sad event, and I would 100% recommend the Lion’s Head as a venue for gatherings. Additional bonuses: lots of parking, easy to get to, elevator/accessible. I highly recommend this venue for gatherings and can't thank the team enough for their professionalism and compassion.“

“Came tor Trivia night and ordered quesidila. Little pricey for food but I guess fairly standard these days, but the drinks were reasonably priced. Iverall decent experience. Typical pub fair and vibe for the most part. Service was decent, food came out quite fast“

“Had a meal with my family here and I hadn't been to Midtown in many years. Food was as I remembered, hit the spot. And our waiter may have been the best waiter I've had in Nova Scotia in a long time. My family has had a very difficult week and my daughter was having a rough evening but the waiter, Colin, knew exactly how to talk to her and he was genuinely kind with my boys. This definitely eased my own stress as well, and later in the evening my daughter brought up how nice he was. I don't usually leave reviews but my experience this evening was a reminder why I love Halifax. Thank you“

“A very homey and romantic atmosphere. The subdued lighting is reminiscent of the kind of place you take your mistress. The charcuterie board which my wife and I shared was quite excellent. The beer( North Brewery’s Malternate Reality IPA ) was exceptional and my wife “loved” her Red wine spritzer Shiraz. Our server, Scotty, was the most engaging and friendly person I’ve encountered in a Bar or Restaurant in Nova Scotia and I’ve been coming here for 22 plus years. A sublime experience.“

“I could not be more thankful for the staff at the lower deck. While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!! I could not be more grateful for the AMAZING staff who not only kept me calm, but no joke, FOUND ALL OF MY GEAR AND SAVED THE DAY!!! “This is our local taproom. I just love this place. Great bunch of people...staff and patrons. A great place to relax and enjoy some good conversation. The beer is the best in Halifax if you're into craft beer. Always a great selection and the beers rotate frequently so you never get tired of drinking the same thing....unless of course you want to. They have some specialty snacks to enjoy with your favorites beer too. They do not serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever your heart desires, in to eat. Jesse's Pizza and CHKN CHOP are just steps away.A couple of my favorite beers are 12 Years to Zion, DOA and Flat Black Jesus. I'm sure you'll have your own favorites.“

“Wow, what a surprise! I was craving a late night snack - chicken wings, in particular. This was one of the only places open within walking distance, so I gave it a shot. To my surprise, these were some of the best chicken wings I’ve had. Crispy, and sauce on the side exactly how I like them. Some reviews mentioned that they were too salty. The wings are salted, but I prefer when the batter is flavored rather than flavorless. So I enjoyed it! Excellent wings! I chose, honey garlic and ranch as my dipping sauce yum!“

“Very well impressed with the restaurant, the building, menu and ambience indoors. Could have been a tourist trap but wasn't. Waiter very nice. One missing Malpeque in the order but easily brought to the table when flagged. Bacon wrapped scallops good but needed a side something to refresh the salty dish. Seafood chowder, crab cake very good.“

“Well I took my daughter there on Saturday night. It was her 19th . And we traveled up from the cape and the one's running the place made us feel like we were back home at the Legion. We spoke with every worker in the building and they were like old friends.. my daughter wants to go back some night . I could go on and on put not much need it is what it is.. I thanked them all on the way out.. that's how you treat people.. we'll definitely come back for a visit deadly..“
