We noticed this designated historic property near the accommodations we booked for a winter weekend getaway in the city. Fast forward a year and we now live here. Checked out Henry House after a live music event. The Drawing Room was open (only on Friday/Saturday), so we ventured upstairs instead of down to the traditional pub. Had an early fish and chips meal last night (Jan 24) and loved the atmosphere. The waiter (I missed her name) was delightful and helpful and enhanced the experience enough I'm writing my first review in decade.

If old buildings aren't really your thing then the atmosphere might not be for you, but the food and staff are consistently very good! I appreciate that it stays open late, but to also offer some of the best pub food in Halifax at reasonable prices on top of that? GOAT
