Stopped in at Henry House in Halifax and ordered pasta. It was right on the money — properly cooked, well-seasoned, and honestly better than I expected from a classic British-style pub.
The atmosphere is great (that old stone building really has character), the service was friendly, and the food hit the spot. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
We arrived to Henry House without a reservation and were seated immediately outside (at our request). Unfortunately, the aroma of garbage nearby was so overwhelming that we decided to eat indoors, instead. We relocated to the basement so that we could enjoy the live music (Matthew Martin). He was excellent!!

If you are visiting Halifax, this place is a must try for canadian/british pub fare. the food is tasty, the atmosphere is rustic and the service is great.
