“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!“

“We stopped by Johnny's Snack Bar on a Saturday afternoon while walking along the waterfront and were pleasantly surprised by how good the fish cakes were. The staff were friendly and quick even though the place was busy with tourists, and they still took a minute to recommend the donair to my husband. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, which we appreciated after years of overpriced tourist traps. We'll definitely make a point of stopping in again next time we're in Halifax.“

“This was my first time at The Cannery, Bedford Row in downtown Halifax. I was greeted by friendly staff and my first thought was of the cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff were sharply dressed. The ambiance was chic and it was decorated in classy high end furnishings. I choose a both, yet still had a great view of Halifax harbour. The Braised Short Rib Pappardelle was cooked flawlessly and the sauce was tasty delicious. I look forward to the steak on my next visit. Mixologist Abi is amazing and pours the best tasting cocktails the city has to offer. His drinks please both the eye and the taste buds as he has a few tricks up his sleeve. Thanks again to everyone at The Cannery for a tasty meal and tasty drinks. See you all again soon. Cheers“

“My son and I attended the John Prine Tribute Show Saturday night; the talent was spectacular and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, during the music break, I became ill very suddenly (non alcohol related), and got sick as I tried to reach the washroom. I was so embarassed and upset, but a lovely customer and the owner were incredible. Emma and Karen made sure I was well taken care of, cleaning me up, calming me down, rubbing my back, getting me water and wet/dry cloths. I can't thank you both enough! “We had such an amazing experience at Montana’s, and a huge part of that was because of our server, James! He was absolutely fantastic with our kids and made our whole family feel so welcome and comfortable.

James was friendly, patient, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were all taken care of. He was especially wonderful with the kids, which made our experience even more enjoyable as parents.

It’s not often you come across someone who makes such a positive impression, but James truly did. His kindness, great sense of humour, and amazing service made our visit one we’ll remember.“

“You guys really need to step it up when it comes to consistency. I'm so tired of paying good money for food and being disappointed. You used to be my go to for everything and I keep trying and hoping that things have improved but one week I'll get a large donair and it's a large and tastes good, next week ill order a large donair and get a small burnt one. same thing with donair subs. I just paid $15 for a large donair, it was tiny and the sauce on it taste like milk not at all like donair sauce. Done with spending good money and getting something different every time I won't try again that's for sure.“

“We held a celebration of life at the Lion's Head, and it was the perfect venue. Joseph, the manager, was so flexible and easy to deal with, the space was large and had lots of windows and natural light with easy-to-use technology for toasts and broadcasting of slide shows. The food was great, and the serving staff were excellent, respectful and efficient. This was such a painless experience for a sad event, and I would 100% recommend the Lion’s Head as a venue for gatherings. Additional bonuses: lots of parking, easy to get to, elevator/accessible. I highly recommend this venue for gatherings and can't thank the team enough for their professionalism and compassion.“

While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!!
