“Was there for supper tonight. Pleased to see that it was busy even though it meant we had to wait. The wait itself was really reasonable and the woman who waited on us was friendly, outgoing and a pleasure to deal with. My husband and I love their burgers and tonight did not disappoint. Can’t wait to come back! Update. We were there tonight, same location. Just as fantastic, hot and tasty as the last time. Kendal rang us through and she was super cheerful and really great to deal with. The entire staff made our meal one we really enjoyed.“

“Idk why it’s so hard to get good coffee in Halifax, but the coffee here was pretty good. I had a basic breakfast platter and it was all very good. Taters were crispy, and soft inside although I wished they added some spices but I can see why they don’t since it would slow down service for people that don’t like spice. The house biscuits were very fluffy, and the bacon was tasty. It was a LOT of food, so you def get a good deal. Service was attentive, it looked like it just slowed down when I got there so the waitress alone was in a rush.“

“Really great Vegetarian burger and superb onion rings, washed down with lemon ice tea. A little bit pricey at $38 for two but enjoyable cos of quality. Veggy burgers are made from scratch so expect a 10 min wait .You won't be disappointed.“

“We were tourists from Toronto and got there by chance. It turned out to be our best meal of our Nova Scotia trip. Donair was delicious and large portions. Asked for some extra toppings and CSR added them for no charge. Prices were very reasonable.“

“Had high hopes and this place didn't disappoint. The wing flavor list is huge! I tried Dirty Boonedoggle and Blue Bomber. While they were 3 and 4 on the hot scale, I had hoped they would be hotter. It was Wing night, which was a fairly good deal. Two orders at 8.99 was more than enough. Wings are good sized. She had a chicken wrap, which she liked. Beer selection is not great in terms of craft beer or IPA, but the food menu is very large with lots of options!

Update: Returned and tried a Summer Menu item, the Steak and Bacon Sandwich. Was very good, although the upgrade to the waffle fries felt like a bit if a rip off..there were about 6 in the bowl, and it was $3 extra.“

“Had dinner with my wife and 3 teens. We each ordered a unique burger, hotdogs fries and 3 different poutines. The food was hot, delicious and nicely prepared. The staff were friendly and professional even though they became very busy (dinner rush). The restaurant was spotless as well. We really enjoy gourmet burgers like five guys and boom burgers but I must say Cheese Curds is the best and my new favourite.“

“I’ve been going through this A&W drive-thru on average of once a week for a few years now. I work night shift and a lot of mornings you just don’t feel like going home to make supper at 7:00am. I have always had great food and great service - especially since it’s probably super annoying to have to make a burger & onion rings as soon as you open, when everyone else is there for breakfast. Despite this, the staff have always been extremely friendly and prompt. My favourite thing about the staff is that they are the same people that were there a few years ago when I first started visiting. You can tell they take pride in their work and treat this place as their own, and it really shows in the customer experience. I hope A&W values what a great team they have at this location - especially the morning crew!“

“Today I witnessed the kindest customer service.
One of the young girls ( between 4:30 to 5:00pm) went above and beyond her duties. First she was very attentive and friendly to us and once we were in our table we saw the moment when she started using sign language to communicate with a lady, I would like to highlight that she took the time to make sure that the lady's order was correct and also approached the table to make sure everything was fine.
I think this level of service deserves to be recognized and the company needs to know the amazing team member they work with.“
