“My husband and I tried Jenny’s Pub for the first time today. Words cannot describe how delicious the homemade fluffy pancakes with fresh blueberries were! My husband’s steak was delicious and prepared perfectly. Home fries were equally amazing. The staff were very kind, the atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was extremely clean. Worth crossing the bridge for……We can’t wait to come back!!!!“
“I must say, I had hoped we would make someone laugh (because the parm fries are always extra yummy)! I thought I would say “extra yummy” in the special request line, and they delivered. Kudos to the whole team! I hope you had a good laugh like we did! Also thanks for that amazing food you guys never disappoint.“
“Food was fantastic with very large portions! Drinks were beyond fantastic and my new found bro Ahmed is the best bartender I have ever had! He gave me his signature version of the Old Fashioned and it was exquisite!!! Ahmed gets a 100 percent rating!!“
“We fell by chance and enjoyed a cozy place with live music where you can dance too, we brought a domino, we played and drank some beers, snacking and listening to good music, the atmosphere was very pleasant, there is an entrance fee of 10 per person but live music is worth “
“I love the food and the servers are wonderful - very nice chicken burgers and pulled pork.Although if you don't like loud music I don't recommend coming on a Saturday - kinda too much for me, but still a lovely little place that really shapes the clayton park district.“
“Excellent service, and the food and drinks were delicious! Overall great vibe! And awesome location! The restaurant has tables that can lower in height to accommodate someone in a wheelchair and is overall very accessible:) The staff were super friendly and added to our dining experience! Would highly recommend!“
“Had nachos, guacamole stuffed onion rings, club house and bacon cheese burger. Guacamole stuffed onion rings could have used more flavor as they were bland. Nachos were a bit skimpy on the cheese. Burger and club house were delicious! Service was excellent. Highly recommend they invest in windows shades as the sun is blinding when it's setting and is right in your face.“
“Jack Astor's Super Bowl night was an absolute touchdown! From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was electric, with big screens broadcasting the game and fans cheering on their teams. What truly made the night unforgettable was the exceptional staff, led by an outstanding general manager. They went above and beyond to ensure every guest had an incredible experience. From recommending the perfect appetizers to keeping our drinks topped up, their attention to detail was impeccable. The general manager's presence was felt throughout the evening, as they effortlessly managed the bustling crowd with grace and professionalism. Their warmth and enthusiasm added an extra layer of excitement to the festivities. Thanks to the amazing team at Jack Astor's, our Super Bowl night was not just about the game, but about the memories created with friends, and for that, we'll be forever grateful. Cheers to an unforgettable experience!“
“Every time I go, I never leave disappointed. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable, the food is amazing & the venue is always beautiful this time of year! Definitely recommend making a reservation in advance to shorten your wait time as it's a very popular place especially on Friday & Saturday nights although if you don't, trust me, it's worth the wait Every.Single.Time!!!“
“Thank-you so much to the staff, and to whom I believe was the owner, for being accommodating, for great service, for delicious food ( great quality and quantity) which all made my birthday celebration enjoyable and memorable. All 10 of us really enjoyed our meal and we all said we would definitely return! A real gem! Highly recommended!“
“You'll find this great pub hidden away off Waverley Road. They have great food, including fresh cut fries. The owner Colleen is a local legend who ensures the service is just as great as the food. This is a spot the locals love and when you visit, you'll know why.“
“Some reviews I've read of the TBR are quite critical-- it's dingy, the service is poor, the food unremarkable. But those reviews were clearly written by people who were looking for a "nice" restaurant and not a true neighborhood pub. A neighbourhood pub interior design SHOULD be outdated, and SHOULD serve standard pub fare.Sure, sometimes service can be slow-- but the folks there are salt of the earth and all you need to do is wave a hand, AND, if you paid attention when the server told you their name, or better yet, if you were friendly and asked their name, just call them over with a good-natured smile."Wing night" is actually wing nightS-- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday (tip--order wings, fries and onion rings 'extra crispy'), and Sunday brunch is perfect for...well...a Sunday morning after a Saturday night. There is often live music, with a lot of favorite musicians returning again and again-- and musicians who talk to the audience and even sit and catch up with more regular patrons. The end of the music and the closing of the pub come sooner than many other pubs/restaurants, so pace your libations accordingly. The more often you visit the TBR, the better it gets-- get to know the people, because THEY are the TBR.“
“The food was excellent. I really enjoyed the pan fried haddock and everything else was delicious as well. Our server, Amanda, was a total treat. Friendly and personable from the second we walked in, she was a ray of sunshine. The entire staff went out of their way to come up with adventures we could take for the remainder of our trip. Dartmouth will now be remembered fondly by us three ol' girls and hopefully we'll get to visit again. Highly recommend.“
“Minor point, if you saying you are at least A 4 star restaurant, with pricing to reflect that rating. Need to upscale you napkins, brown light weight paper napkins don't cut it! Also, your hostesses need to be aware, letting people cut in , how don't have a reservation, in front of those that where there before them, who had reservations, isn't appropriate.“
“Edited: After receiving a quick explanation from the owner on google reviews I wanted to bring the rating back up so as not to bring the overall rating down. Good to know they are actively checking, would have loved to try the place out while we were in town, but might not get the chance again. There wasn’t a soul in the place when we walked in shortly before 8pm. We were excited to go for Thursday wing night and was pretty disappointed to hear that the kitchen was closed. Thursday is advertised as 12$ wings from 5pm to close. The barkeeper apologized but didn’t seem overly friendly.“
“We had the BEST waitress that we ever had at any of the Jack Astor's. We eat their regularly. No waiter or waitress compares to Nana B. She was amazing. We will be back and will obviously ask to sit in her area. Great service and always smiling. See you soon Nana.“
“Had a great burger for Burger Bash. Have had pretty good wings on wing nights. The Queso Fries were also good.Wheelchair accessibility: Washroom is faiy accessible for someone with a walker, but someone in a wheelchair would have difficulty with the door. The staff seemed really nice, so I am sure they would hold the door open going in if asked.“
“Delicious. Service is extremely hospitable too!Update: My travel buddy came back here 4 times during our 3-day trip. He described the Steak and Guinness pie as "life changing". Do yourself a favor and check this place out, maybe your life will be changed too.“
