“We stopped for an impromptu ice cream after our highway route back to the city got detoured. The ice cream was so generously scooped and the baked goods called to me from the bakery side. The cinnamon buns with icing made my mouth water and the Reece’s pieces pb cookies will be a repeat purchase.
Kid-friendliness: They spoke to both kids about their ice cream choices and offered ample napkins to meet the needs of the generous ice cream portions.“

“As a bread expert with an abundance of international bread experience I think the rolls (specifically for lobster rolls) are excellent.
Lightly chewy, soft but reasonably crispy crust, good flavour, excellent rise and bake. Chefs kiss.“

“The Bread Lounge has the best sandwiches in Halifax, at both the North End and Burnside locations. The cheese croissant is phenomenal and one of the best I’ve ever had ANYWHERE!! I also just had a catered event at the Burnside location yesterday and everything was flawless. “The staff are extremely kind, patient, and willing to help when deciding what flavor of donut you're choosing. The donuts themselves aren't soggy whatsoever, the perfect ratio of crisp/ moist, and not overly heavy when eating them. The price is also a sweet deal, 10 for $7 !!! 10/10 would recommend for a sweet treat !!!“

Anulyway, everything is good there - the food are authentically Italian and European. Tiramisu is decent and fresh. Coffee is amazing (and I'm drinking only espresso, with a huge European background, so...)

“I ordered Taylor Swift Cookies for my friends 30th birthday. It was kind of last minute and I'm located in Newfoundland. Halsey Cakes took my order and was so easy to deal with. The cookies were beautiful and my friend absolutely loved them. Highly recommend Halsey Cakes.“
“I read it`s burnt, then I read it`s not cooked enough. I read it gets green mold on it. What is it with you people? It is not burnt and if you got a batch that was not cooked enough because they are trying to make everybody happy. Only a real not very sharp person would complain about mold. It is a very old recipe that when it made, it was used the same day. No refridgeration back then. MORE IMPORTANTLY NO PRESERVATIVES it will turn green if not used. You eat the stuff that has all the preservatives in it and you might not turn green either! Good luck!

“Stumbled upon Cempoal de la Calavera Negra last Saturday morning and honestly it's become my new favourite weekend spot in Halifax. The cortado I ordered was perfectly balanced, not too bitter, and came in this really nice ceramic cup that made the whole thing feel a bit special. The vibe inside is cozy without being cramped, great for sitting with your laptop or just watching the neighbourhood wake up through the front windows. Definitely coming back next weekend - already thinking about trying whatever pastry they had sitting on the counter that I regrettably skipped.“

“I Love Locally Baked Outlet!! Kelly is great in assisting or whatever helping to find what you're looking for. I've bought many things at their store. I used to buy a lot of goodies when I would visit my sister in Halifax. Now that there is a place in Sydney I can visit there or even get my son to pick up some things that I want. I love their sweets because I'm diabetic and even more now that I follow Keto. This is a great store and I'm so happy with their service. Keep doing what you're doing Kelly. GREAT JOB!“
