“I had the pleasure of attending a private event hosted at the Mellow Mug last Friday night. As a first-time visitor, I found it to be a very welcoming space, from the decor to the seating. I think I was lucky to be attending an event after hours, when I believe their stock in baked goods to be low. As it was, I had difficulty narrowing my choice down past 3 items. I can just imagine the increased difficulty it would have been first thing in the morning with a full complement of goodies. The very friendly staff helped me to narrow my choice to one and if the cookie I ate was an example of the high quality of their baked goods, then I am grateful that I live half an hour away and not around the corner. The selection of drinks offered was also amazing and I look forward to visiting again during their regular hours.“

“Cozy little cafe with friendly staff and delicious, locally sourced offerings. Grabbing a baked treat or a fresh loaf of bread on the way out is a must.

Parking: It's a hidden gem, enter via the exterior stairs, take a right up the interior staircase and through the door on your left.

Kid-friendliness: Our little one always enjoys a visit. They make a special hot chocolate, which always gets 2 thumbs up.“

“The coffee, treats, and other drinks they serve are really good at a competitive price. It's a nice little Cafe with indoor and out door seating. The staff is a hit and miss. Some of the baristas are super nice, others look miserable. When you're performing a service like that you have to sometimes put on a fake smile. I work retail so I get it.“

“By far my favourite Starbucks to go to. The staff is so sweet and so friendly. I’m a creature of habit and always get the same drink (Caramel Frappucino) and it’s always perfectly made. The service is always incredible. They have gone above and beyond for me in the past as well when I had been looking for a specific seasonal Drinkware. I always choose this location as my first stop and recommend it to everyone!“

“We had the pleasure to discover Lara Cafe during our vacation in Halifax with our 3 children. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the creamy oat milk lattes and colourful lemonades and we found ourselves retuning to the Cafe every day of our vacation. We had the opportunity to meet Lara, the owner, and it was immediately clear why this Cafe is so tastefully decorated, why the atmosphere is so enjoyable and the menu so very delectable. “It takes a great deal for me to write a long post, I had even sent an email and message on their Instagram. It's clear that they do not care about their customers, so here Iam writing my experience. Maybe this will get their attention. I discovered this cozy café this past weekend. I live in Bedford and have been searching for a great place to study. I really enjoy the atmosphere in this café, However I've had two incidents that have happened now with my order. Saturday I came in and had asked about the breakfast sandwich, I have a nightshade intolerance which I explained to the cashier. (no tomatoes, peppers, paprika, no spices. potatoes and eggplant are also in this category). She went back and checked the ingredients and made a sandwich that was suppose to be free of these things. I get the sandwich and have a couple bites and realize that the black bean paste that was on it did indeed have chili-spice. She was going to remake my order and give me a refund but the manager said one or the other. Which I feel unfair where the damage has already been done to my stomach. However, someone who has made mistakes myself in the past in the industry, I let it go. It's only an intolerance not life threatening, however it does cause me discomfort for a few days when I eat these things. A refund should have been made. I return Monday and ordered a defcafe almond milk latte, which within an hour later I realize that it was 100% NOT decafe. Caffeine does not sit well with me, it causes a great deal on my health. For some people this can literally have them go to the hospital. Some people have certain medications, and caffeine can literally cause major complications. Luckily for me this was not the case, however it ruined my night, I was unable to finish my evening activities, or continue to study for the quiz I had the next day. I also had to cut my grocery shopping short because I became faint and unwell. It's clear to me that the manager and staff do not take dietary restrictions seriously, this is unfortunate, as I have spent $50 on this establishment already and I will not be back. Dietary restrictions are something to be taken seriously and this place does not! So if you are someone with allergies, do not go here.“

“The staff here is fabulous, there is one lady that works here and every morning she makes me smile, and starts my day off great. She is always smiling and wishes me a good day or weekend! “A lovely place!! Very cozy— like having a coffee in someone’s beloved living room. I am a cane user, and the owner made a little two-cup carrier out of an empty milk container. It was actually easier to carry than most to-go containers!! The extra effort and care is so appreciated. Would highly recommend for a coffee and snack.“

“This site is within a secure military base. Access may be restricted to only those who work on the base or who are military personnel. Security at gate may not let civilians in unless they have business on the property

Parking: The area is patrolled by Military police and parking security. Their is a 15 minute time limit to be in the parking area. Violation will result in ticket and towing at owners expense“

“I recently moved back into the area and was hoping to have brunch here every weekend. I had the Madurito breakfast which was a wonderful treat. The flavours were exotic and well balanced and I left quite satisfied. The breakfast came to $30.00 including tip. After searching online, I found this was almost double the price of any breakfast in Halifax. Wonderful food, but keep in mind you are paying for inflated food costs and for specialty ingredients. Not affordable on my budget, unfortunately.“

If you're looking for a comfortable spot with great coffee and treats, this Tim Hortons is definitely worth a visit. Huge seating area. The Staff is friendly but need to be little more focused on the waiting times, sometimes it takes too long to place an order.

“This location went above and beyond when I made and order through Uber eats was delivered wrong they Comped my meal . The store manager Diana was truly amazing I came to the drive through today and got my order and she came to the window to apologize for everything .
