“Such a good coffee shop! I stopped in on a walk to see and was so pleasantly surprised. Their price is on par with most cafe's in the city but not only was the coffee much better, the portion size was better. Most other cafe's in the city overfill iced lattes with ice and you're done after like two sips but this was a well sized cup with actually really good tasting coffee :) The location is a little tight because it's a grab-and-go but I appreciated their book section, it added to the atmosphere. Overall great cafe, it'll be a routine one from now on.“

“I’m a regular and I have to say, this place is amazing!Service and taste has been consistent from the start. Their chocolate doesn’t have that “generic” taste to it and really hits the spot. Their dipped cones are so good and their fondue tins are a must try! I had their hazelnut fondue tin with some crispy dough snack I had at home and it was such a delight! You can also mix different chocolate flavours which is awesome when you want to try something new. Their other desserts are also great. They are generous with the servings and chocolate, something which my friends and I appreciate. The staff is friendly and allow you to try the different dip flavours, which is really nice.I don’t think I can get bored of this place.“

“Definitely recommend checking out Cabin Coffee! The aesthetic inside is really unique and makes you feel like you're in a cozy cabin. I came early in the morning for the breakfast bun combo (sandwich and coffee for just under $9) The breakfast bun was really good - definitely made with more fresh ingredients than McDonald's or Tim's. Unfortunately didn't have time to sit inside, but would love to the next time I'm in Halifax because the inside is beautiful.“

“I recently moved back into the area and was hoping to have brunch here every weekend. I had the Madurito breakfast which was a wonderful treat. The flavours were exotic and well balanced and I left quite satisfied. The breakfast came to $30.00 including tip. After searching online, I found this was almost double the price of any breakfast in Halifax. Wonderful food, but keep in mind you are paying for inflated food costs and for specialty ingredients. Not affordable on my budget, unfortunately.“

“It takes a great deal for me to write a long post, I had even sent an email and message on their Instagram. It's clear that they do not care about their customers, so here Iam writing my experience. Maybe this will get their attention. I discovered this cozy café this past weekend. I live in Bedford and have been searching for a great place to study. I really enjoy the atmosphere in this café, However I've had two incidents that have happened now with my order. Saturday I came in and had asked about the breakfast sandwich, I have a nightshade intolerance which I explained to the cashier. (no tomatoes, peppers, paprika, no spices. potatoes and eggplant are also in this category). She went back and checked the ingredients and made a sandwich that was suppose to be free of these things. I get the sandwich and have a couple bites and realize that the black bean paste that was on it did indeed have chili-spice. She was going to remake my order and give me a refund but the manager said one or the other. Which I feel unfair where the damage has already been done to my stomach. However, someone who has made mistakes myself in the past in the industry, I let it go. It's only an intolerance not life threatening, however it does cause me discomfort for a few days when I eat these things. A refund should have been made. I return Monday and ordered a defcafe almond milk latte, which within an hour later I realize that it was 100% NOT decafe. Caffeine does not sit well with me, it causes a great deal on my health. For some people this can literally have them go to the hospital. Some people have certain medications, and caffeine can literally cause major complications. Luckily for me this was not the case, however it ruined my night, I was unable to finish my evening activities, or continue to study for the quiz I had the next day. I also had to cut my grocery shopping short because I became faint and unwell. It's clear to me that the manager and staff do not take dietary restrictions seriously, this is unfortunate, as I have spent $50 on this establishment already and I will not be back. Dietary restrictions are something to be taken seriously and this place does not! So if you are someone with allergies, do not go here.“

The food there is amazing, I like the grilled cheese with bacon on white bread. “Absolutely hands down one of the best, if not the best Starbucks I have ever been to from all over the world. The staff are kind and conscientious and funny. They truly love their jobs and it shows through the little jokes and cute little offerings that they're constantly making efforts with one of the baristas. Kevin is absolutely the best in the business, kind and sweet and always good at what he's doing. The drinks are always made better than anywhere else perfect on the orders, no matter how complicated, always able to take detailed instructions very well with a giant smile. My mornings are always made better by them. There's another female employee who works there who has the biggest smile and the kindest heart and I will remember her name. If ever you need a quick pick me up, don't go to the Tim Hortons across the street. Take the time to go to this Starbucks“

“I had some time to spare before my afternoon appointment and I asked Google maps for a good coffee shop close by. It took me to Balancing Rock Coffee House and it was just what I needed. A perfect Latte with a delicious cheese and savory scone, and a wonderful barista who served me at my table. I will be back!“
