A great li'l seafood market that had U15 scallops when no where else did (apparently there was a short supply of scallops when we were visiting). If you want to do a fancy homecooked seafood meal, this is the place to get the premium stuff.
The take out os closed now and likely won't be reopening. Carla has cooked for over 40years and wants to slow that part down. The fish market is incredible! Love the whole digby clams frozen in 1lb packaging. Thanks Carla
We spent a few days exploring this part of the province, in Clare.
We came to Digby looking for a scallop roll — and we found it! It was generous and delicious.
Right next door there’s also a small fish shop where I discovered dried fish — something I haven’t seen in Halifax.
Now I’m enjoying it little by little at home, because to get a new batch I’ll have to come all the way back here.
And I definitely will — as soon as I finish...
