For the context, we were in Halifax on vacation for a week. Found Nami on this website and decided to try it. Although the place is lovely and bright, we found the food bland and boring. The selection is basic, limited to the usual tuna and salmon and few more. We had a little bit of everything and, unfortunately, we were not impressed. In addition, the service was subpar as well. Our server was a lovely young Japanese woman, and, because she was still learning English, we had some communication issues. We asked for recommendations and it became obvious that she was not able to provide any. It seemed that she was still in training and she forgot to bring plates and wasabi, and messed up a simple tea order. In conclusion, we were disappointed with the service and also the food , as we expected better selection and quality, considering the quality of the fish and lobster we had in other restaurants in Halifax.

Hungry and still particular to quality food. So my wife and I were looking for a place to eat today. July 292023 at 4pm. Dartmouth Crossing has quite a few places to eat but most were common fast food places you see everywhere. Sushi Nami menu looked good and prices as expected. So we decided that we wanted sushi above all else. Wide open space inside, very bright, clean and not very busy in the late afternoon, as expected. The menu , four pages worth We ordered the Edamame, Mango Salad, Maki Dinner, Sweet Potato Maki, and Deluxe Moriawase. Dessert was lastly fried banana with three scoops of ice cream for the three pieces of banana… mango, black sesame and green tea ice creams Rather than go through in detail the why I would recommendation I will simply put it this way. Absolutely. Absolutely absolutely would I recommend this place. The service, the atmosphere, the choices, the serving the taste the prices everything about Sushi Nami Royale Is worth it. Our total bill for everything including $20 tip was $111.31 for two people and a lot of delicious food. I give it a 12/10

The restaurant itself was bright and clean, and our server was great at the beginning of the meal. Unfortunately the sushi itself was not great. They tasted stale, the tempura bits we're not crunchy at all, they had an overwhelming amount of avocado and sauce on top. I ended up not eating much of what I ordered because it was very bland and unappealing. I found the rolls to bug you eat comfortably as well, and cutting a sushi roll in 2 to enjoy is weird.

Yummy Food, great service and and is in a great location downtown. I am always looking for great sushi on my travels and this did not dissapoint.

Nice location off Spring Garden Road in Downtown Halifax. The restaurant is quite large. Not too crowded during lunch. The food is pretty good. In my opinion, there are superior options Downtown. The service is good. Overall, not a bad experience.

This place was recommended by our hotel. Pretty average to below average seafood at a place so near the sea. Poor service, really loud and average sushi. What’s to love?

I went it on Aug 1st. It is a holiday so I understand that the restaurant is busy. After I'm in the table, I wait around 15 minutes for someone get my order. The sushi is normal, the size is too big and tastes not that fresh. The crab is normal, because it's Fried, it's hard to taste the crab. Ramen is above the average line. The services is good.

Superb sushi, great service and Sapporo on tap as well. There is cider on tap as well. Well worth a visit, specifically during happy hour 14:30 -16:30. Would eat here again.
My favourite sushi place anywhere in the world! Not only is the service top-notch but the fish is fresh and the sashimi is generously portioned. Sushi Nami is a must anytime I'm back home in Halifax!

Amazing dinner! A must try is the Spicy Gari Salmon roll… we ended up ordering a second one! And the sashimi Moriawase platter was to die for. 14 HUGE pieces of mixed sashimi.. melted in your mouth. And if they’ve got the saki mohito on special for a drink.. get it! Light, refreshing and delicious!

Beautifully prepared, fresh, large servings of carefully presented Japanese food. The dragon rolls are fresh and large. Restaurant is fairly large and tables are well spaced. Service is friendly and attentive.
