Good coffee. The food was outstanding though, especially the sandwiches. It just tasted like quality ingredients.

One of my regular spots for coffee and a sandwich or muffin.
Tasty bites, with great coffee and friendly staff!

Great place to go for a delicious sandwich.
I normally take my lunch to work but today was an exception.
I had a simple chicken salad on lovely multigrain bread.
It cost a little more than the (outdated, perhaps?) menu online. With the cost of food these days, I thought it was great quality and value for around $7.75 before tax.
Staff aren’t in a hurry - that’s not a bad thing. If you are going for take out allow yourself a few extra minutes to get through the line and have your item prepared.
Yum!

I ordered a grilled cheese and a mocha. Both were very yummy!

Love this quiet and unassuming space off of Barrington. I have been dropping by since 2021 and keep coming back for the consistency.
I do wish the space was a tad bit larger, not ideal for a big group and it can be hard to grab a table at times, but that’s good for business as it means it’s busy :)

We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this lovely place! Staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. I had the fruit and granola parfait which was supposed to be a “snack” but was more than filling! Fresh fruit and tasty granola! Their dark roast drip coffee was also very good. My husbands sandwich - which he let me taste - was tasty and nicely toasted. This is a wonderful place to to stop and enjoy some coffee and food!

Fantastic cafe with amazing food...and service! One of the best (and strongest) Americanos that I've ever had, and the ham and briefly sandwich, on the own bread, was to die for. Oh and the picture attests to this being the happiest cafe in Halifax...and the photo is NOT manipulated.

Kind service, cozy environment, and delicious coffee! Breakfast is always top notch (Naked Eggs is comfort food to the max + the Grilled Cheese sandwich is great too). Can’t stop coming back.

Latte is horrible. Shakshoka is just an egg on tomatoes. They got two of the ingredients right but they forgot the rest and how to actually prepare it.

Go to weird harbor espresso one block down. Much better latte -but no seating-.

Bird Nest Café is a hidden gem for coffee lovers. Their mocha is absolutely amazing – rich, smooth, and made with fresh ganache that takes it to the next level. You can really taste the quality in every sip.

They also serve up some great food – their sandwiches are fresh and satisfying, perfect for a quick lunch or a cozy bite. And whatever you do, don’t miss their blueberry muffin – it’s soft, packed with flavor, and the perfect companion to your coffee.

Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and consistently great food and drinks – Bird Nest Café is definitely a favorite!

A very quaint spot in the heart of downtown Halifax. Small menu, with great food options. Wonderful staff. Beautiful little details like a real flower in a bud vase - makes all the difference.

This is my absolute favorite cafe, I go here almost daily. The atmosphere is cozy with your quiet relaxing music, the food really is great, the coffee is delicious, they have the sweetest staff you will meet and the owner is such a lovely person. If you haven't been here, I strongly recommend paying them a visit.
