As brief visitors to Halifax, we went with recommendations from our conference organizers and boy are we glad that we did. Drift was amazing, from the fantastic and next level servers to the wine, and then finally to the seafood tower. The oysters on half shell, the mussels, the lobster and crab salad, the scallops ceviche and everything else included was just what we were looking for. What a great experience, and one we could not leave Halifax without having. We won't forget this dinner for a long time.

Overall excellence from start to finish. Every single employee was lovely, professional, and so enjoyable. The food was excellent and simply just what I was looking for. If you're looking for the perfect night out - solo, a date, or a party let drift take care of you for the evening, you won't regret it.

We greatly enjoyed our experience at Drift! The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional, and the pace of service was well done. The price point was balanced with the quality of the meals and the overall ambience of the restaurant. We'll certainly be back when we're in the area again and recommend it to anyone who has not yet been.

When your bill for coffee and pancakes for three people is $96 those pancakes had better be the best pancakes in town. Drift used to have the best pancakes in town unfortunately that is no longer the case. Their $25 pancakes are now just regular pancakes with some odd tasting crumbs on the top. They used to have a unique and outstanding espresso crumble on top and were the lightest fluffiest pancakes I've ever had. Don't fix it if it's not broken Drift! The ambiance inside drift is lovely unfortunately it's attracts the sort of patron who thinks wearing clouds of perfume to go to brunch is still a good idea. The waft of perfume from the ladies we were sitting beside made it seem like we were eating our breakfast in the perfume department at Sephora. Not Drift's fault by any means but still... ambiance. Service was outstanding as usual.

I was really disappointed with the food at Drift Halifax. The brisket looked and tasted like canned meat .definitely not what I expected from a place with such a good reputation. Overall, the food quality was poor and not worth the price.

Our meal was amazing and thanks to Ian and the entire staff we had the most memorable time. The surprise desert board was spectacular.

In fairness, the server was great. However, we went for New Years dinner, and got the wine pairing. We received our first course, and the pairing, but once finished, we recieved our next pairing, and waited almost 40 minutes for the next course. The wild boar on the set menu was extremely salty, well beyond anything expected out of a high end restaurant. Overall, would not go back for food as I’ve heard of this same issue with food service. But great cocktails if that is all that’s on your menu.

Went for breakfast. A very calming atmosphere. Sit by the window for nice views of the courtyard and harbor. Great service. Blueberry pancakes are very good and you can order just 1. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Would go back.

Can’t say I’ve ever been blown away here. Nothing inherently wrong with anything I’ve had either.

Can I do a 6th star for service? Brian was stellar but everyone who delivered a course made me feel like the most important person in the restaurant. The food was spectacular. I came for the special Thanksgiving meal (as an American celebrating in October was different and special). Brian selected wine pairings, mostly local, for the courses and his choices were perfect. I added a shrimp and lobster cake to celebrate Nova Scotia. The symphony of flavors worked so well. And the meal ended with undoubtedly the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had (salted caramel was just wow!!). I HIGHLY recommend this place!

The service here is outstanding and the food is amazing. We’ve been a few times now and on each occasion everything has been perfect. It’s such a lovely atmosphere too and a great place for brunch.
