Toridori Reviews
We tried this restaurant for the first time for supper. The food was excellent! Everything was beautifully presented, arrived hot, and very tasty. The Beef Rendang was a particular highlight of the meal. Our server was excellent as well - both friendly and professional. We enjoyed people-watching while sitting on the patio. Our only complaint would be that there was an unusually long wait between our appetizers and our main courses, with no explanation or updates from our server....read full review
What a great addition to the waterfront food scene!
KFC cauliflower was out of this world. Super crunchy, with an amazing chili sauce for dipping.
Pork Bao buns were fresh, and packed with flavour.
Golden Shrimp dumpling was tasty, but not a standout for us - I would skip ordering this again.
Finally, the Shanxi Lamb Slap Noodles were above expectations. Spicy (but you can get it less/not spicy), fresh vegetables, an amazing noodle that we had never...read full review

Toridori, a cozy restaurant in downtown Halifax, offers a diverse menu with generous portions and a focus on quality ingredients. The atmosphere is beautiful and vibrant, making it a great place for special occasions. The lamb noodles and beef short ribs continue to receive praise for their delectable flavors. The sea bass remains extremely delicious, especially when paired with a refreshing layer of mango. Among the highlights are the appetizers, including the perfectly crispy popcorn chicken and juicy chicken dumplings, along with comforting roast chicken with rice and flavorful fried rice that ties everything together. However, desserts like the expensive ice cream with mango popping pearls and the disappointing shaved ice have received mixed reviews.
Cocktails at Toridori are also a highlight, with craft options like the lychee martini, espresso martini, and the funky Buddha impressing guests. Service has been noted as fantastic, although there have been comments about staffing challenges. One server, while doing her best, left some customers wanting more attention. Overall, Toridori is recommended for its main meals and celebratory vibes, as it offers an experience that goes beyond just dinner. It is a must-see place in Halifax, especially for those craving amazing food and hospitality.
