The food and experience was okay. Our experience may have been affected by our expectation of a full menu including the Nova Scotia Kitchen Party items but there was a limited Sunday brunch menu. Hopefully able to back at time when there is a full menu. One thing, as with so many restaurants, even though it was not at full capacity the noise level was very high making it challenging to enjoy table conversation without raising our voices and repeating ourselves.
Amazing last night in Halifax at Salt and Ash. Very cool vibe. Food was great and so was service. Food was delicious. Highly recommend
The noise level made the experience not very favourable. It was so loud attempting to listen to my diner partner was near impossible. There was only 2 in our party, a large group of 16 people came in after our seating, we ordered before that group and they were served their mains before us and actually finished before we received our food. If not for the noise level in the restaurant that point would not have been concerning.

Salt + Ash Beach House offers excellent quality and delicious food, including corn bread, tiny chicken, pizza, fish and chips, and smoked meat. The restaurant has a relaxed, beachy vibe that works perfectly whether guests are dressed casually or a little more dressed up. The setting overlooks the harbor, providing a bright and lively atmosphere that creates a great environment for enjoying meals. The decor and vibe are a good mix of chill and chic, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors.
The restaurant is well-decorated, and the ambiance is amazing. Guests have praised the signature cocktails, which are well presented and very delicious, as well as the special dishes like the donair pizza and jerk cod and clams. The chicken burger and chicken strips were also praised for being nicely prepared. However, the service can be slow and inconsistent, with some guests reporting long wait times for their food. The restaurant can also be quite loud, which might make conversation difficult at times.
Overall, Salt + Ash Beach House is highly recommended for its wonderful food and fantastic views, despite the occasional service issues.
