“Was super excited to try this restaurant but it was not as great as I expected. The meals are extremely large in size and you definitely get your moneys worth! The lamb noodles were yummy and the quality of the beef short ribs were great! However, the ice cream was extremely expensive for just a few spoonfuls and I was a bit confused on why they would add mango popping pearls as it was brown sugar milk tea flavoured ice cream. As well, the shaved ice was an extreme letdown :( The ice was very chunky and was not shaved down at all, so instead of being creamy, the halo halo was very sharp and crunchy. The appearance of all the dishes were all so beautiful and the restaurant was so cozy? Overall, I would recommend coming here if you’ve been wanting to try it out, but for me personally, the taste of the food was a let down (especially the deserts). However, I would recommend this place for their main meals as the portions are generous and the atmosphere and customer service was great!?“

“The best authentic Chinese cuisine in Halifax and among the best we have had anywhere. We had the sour fish soup with pickled vegetables, the Szechuan beef stew, stuffed wonton and crispy potstickers, accompanied by barley tea.“

“Excellent, authentic Japanese food. Anyone who has lived long enough in Japan can quickly tell the difference between Japanese dishes prepared with the right ingredients in an authentic way and Ko Doraku is just that. Considering how many pretenders there are it was a little disappointing to see how slow there business was on a recent Saturday evening. Ganbare!“

“Spicy duck blood and Beijing style grilled eggplant are my favorite. It is very flavorful.

The restaurant is nice and clean. The waitress has taken good care of us.

Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for real authentic Chinese food.

“great spot! i definitely wish it was in a more visible location but if you give them a call they’re happy to help :) very yummy food and wonderful owners. i forgot to take pictures of my food since i ate it all so quickly but i can’t wait to try more of their dishes!“

“Food: we got the korean beef bulgogi, butter chicken and free kids dragon chicken (mongolian) as it was a weekend deal. I recommend both korean beef bulgogi (not sweet) and mongolian chicken. Butter chicken is not authentic but good enough to satisfy some cravings.

Service: set up is like fast food offering hot meals. So you don’t expect restaurant-like service. There are only two staffs, cashier/preparer and cook. They are both efficient. We went on Sunday lunch with average number of visitors and you barely had to wait. Our orders were ready in less than 10mins

Atmosphere: clean, spacious with nice ambiance and music.

Overall, the food is good, better than getting fast food. You get decent hot meal for a quick stop. 5-star Rating is relative to the price we paid for.“
